Ickle Pickles Hampshire and West Sussex The Hampshire and West Sussex page for the Ickle Pickles Children's Charity Is there an Ickle Pickle in your life? [email protected]

Over 80,000 babies are born prematurely every year (that's1 in 8 by the way) of these 22,000 will need special or intensive care in a Neonatal Unit. Often these tiny babies cling onto their parent's fingers just as hard as they cling to life; holding a tiny hand provides the lifeline that helps parents and families to cope. The Ickle Pickle Partnership turns gifts from generous people like you into specialised equipment, such as incubators and ventilators, to help Neonatal units provide incredible levels of care to very sick babies. Every Ickle Pickle deserves an Opportunity for Life, that’s why we're asking for your help and generosity. Please lift a finger to make a donation on or visit www.icklepickles.org and become a friend of the ickle pickles. Should you wish to get involved with any of the events you see advertised on this page or would like to set up your own fundraising event, please contact the Hampshire Ambassador Lorraine Blackburn who will be more than happy to help.

💚 NICU Remembrance Day💚

Today, we remember our beloved Jaxon, who filled our lives with joy and strength during his 99 days with us. His memorial page, Jaxon’s Wish, supports families in the Neonatal Unit: https://theicklepickles.enthuse.com/pf/jaxonswish

Jaxon’s mum Kim shared, “Losing Jaxon has had a profound impact on my life and my family. We want to show the world how strong we are in Jaxon's memory while raising important funds for babies like him.”

Let's come together to honour Jaxon's legacy and support Jaxon's Wish. 💚

Good Luck, Jenna and Oli! 🚴‍♀️💪
We at Ickle Pickles are sending all our support to Jenna Watton and Oli Housden on their inspiring cycle ride from London to Brighton! 🌟

Jenna, a neonatal nurse, writes:
“ I am a neonatal nurse at Northwick Park Hospital, where our unit cares for premature and seriously unwell babies, while also supporting families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

Working on the neonatal unit has shown me just how vital extra resources are, from specialist equipment to family support and comfort during long hospital stays. Fundraising helps us go beyond the basics, ensuring we can continue to meet the emotional and practical needs of the babies and families who rely on us.

To support this cause, I am taking on the London to Brighton bike ride, a personal challenge that represents the determination and resilience I witness every single shift. Every mile I cycle is for our babies, their families, and the incredible care we strive to provide.

By donating, you are directly helping our neonatal unit continue its vital work and make a real difference to those who need it most.”

Help Jenna and Oli make a difference! Together, we can help tiny babies thrive. ❤️

👶 Suzie, a NeoHero at Starlight Neonatal Unit in Barnet, dressed baby Reuben for the first time. Let's give every newborn like Reuben a chance.

Was your baby cared for in a neonatal unit? Our NeoHeroes are often parents or family members of children who have been treated in a neonatal unit. They are dedicated to supporting their local neonatal unit through various activities like fundraising, hosting coffee mornings, or promoting the unit’s excellent work.

You can help by raising funds and awareness for the unit where your baby received care, giving back to your community. 💙

Today is 🌍❤️

Let's celebrate the unsung heroes who bring joy and hope into the world, like Emma Thompson, a Neonatal Nursing Associate. Moments like when Emma united a mother with her twins for the first time, lighting up the room with smiles and tears of joy, remind us of the profound impact of neonatal care. 👶✨

Join us in supporting who work tirelessly to create precious moments. Your contribution can help provide essential resources like incubators, ensuring every baby gets the best start in life.
