Dr Katherine Rogers from SORD will be presenting at the NDCS Happy Futures parents and family event this Saturday 26th March in Manchester. It is aimed at parents of deaf children (0-16) and it is free to attend.
Claire Dodds from the READY study will be there too, to answer questions about the project and share our most recent findings.
Just over one week to go until our parent and family event Happy Futures: Transforming Deaf Children’s Mental Health!
We’ll be joined on the day by Dr Katherine Rogers, a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Post-Doctoral Fellow who has been involved in the Social Research with Deaf people (SORD) group at the University of Manchester since 2006.
Examples of research projects that she has been involved with include Deaf role models and the mental well-being of d/Deaf people. Additionally she is a co-investigator in The READY Study and is chair of the British Society for Mental Health and Deafness (BSMHD).
