Congratulations to our 13 colleagues who recently celebrated completing their apprenticeships at a special ceremony in Glasgow.

Now fully qualified, they'll be responding to gas emergencies and helping to upgrade our network to deliver safe and reliable gas supplies for communities across Scotland.

The apprentices received their certificates from our Chief Operating Officer, Darren Elsom, who shared his own journey from apprentice to senior leader.

⚠️ Houstoun Road, Livingston

We’ve temporarily closed Houstoun Road between the entrance to Screwfix Livingston and Grange Road (heading towards Pumpherston) while we carry out emergency repairs to our gas network.

Due to the position of the affected gas main in the carriageway, we’ve had to fully close the road to keep everyone safe while we complete these essential repairs.

A signed diversion is in place via Houstoun Road, Alderstone Road, Cousland Road and Grange Road. Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience and our engineers are working as quickly and safely as possible.

It’s , and we’re looking at the potential of green gas to support Scotland’s energy transition. 🌱

Biomethane is a renewable green gas made from organic waste. It’s already being supplied through our gas network, with current production capacity enough to meet the annual gas demand of 15% of Scottish homes.

And we’ve only scratched the surface of what’s possible.

Research shows scaling up production could add £10 billion to Scotland’s economy by 2050, support around 8,000 jobs, and generate enough green gas to meet the equivalent annual gas demand of 76% of Scottish homes.

🎥 Watch our video to discover what that opportunity could mean for Scotland.

The test will last for no more than an hour, during which both ‘warning’ and ‘all-clear’ sirens will sound several times.
