Lurcher SOS Lurcher & Sighthound Rescue Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and home abused, abandoned and neglected Lurchers, Greyhounds and all sighthounds. (A homecheck will be required.)

We are a small non-destruct rescue charity founded in March 2010. Our HQ is in Surrey and our dogs are in foster homes throughout the Home Counties and beyond. All our dogs are placed in warm and loving foster homes where they are carefully assessed and, if needed, rehabilitated. By placing our dogs in foster homes, we can get a much better idea of their temperament and we can establish if they get along with other dogs as well as give them some basic training – something that a lot of them have never had before. All Lurcher SOS rescue dogs are neutered where possible and given full veterinary treatment, microchipped and vaccinated wormed and deflead before going to their new homes. We are happy to home thought England, Wales and Scotland. We are a non-profit organization and receive no funding. We rely solely on donations from the public and are always in need of fundraising support to cover the cost of the care of our dogs. All funds go directly to caring for hounds as we have no paid staff - we are all volunteers who give our time and care willingly for free. We are actively seeking new foster parents and permanent homes for our rescue dogs. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT HOME TO HUNTING/WORKING HOMES; PET HOMES ONLY.

🚢🌴 ROSIE’S BEEN TRAVELLING AGAIN! 🌴🚢

Well, some dogs make do with a walk around the block, but not our Rosie! 😂🐾

She’s been on her travels again, this time heading back from France in the Pet Den on Irish Ferries ⛴️

Judging by that face, you’d think she was sailing around the Caribbean on a luxury cruise rather than making her way home! 🌞🍹😂

Honestly, Rosie, try not to let all this jet-setting go to your head! We’ll be expecting you to demand a poolside cocktail next! 🍹🐶❤️

Living her best life, one adventure at a time! 🐾🌍

❤️🐾 SENDING HEALING VIBES TO BEAUTIFUL BRAMBLE! 🐾❤️

Gorgeous Bramble is doing so well after undergoing a pretty big operation recently ❤️

What a tough nut she is! 💪 Despite everything she’s been through, her besotted humans tell us that she’s still as full of joy as ever 🥹🫶🏽

We’re sending Bramble all the healing vibes, love and positive thoughts as she continues on her recovery journey 🌟💗

Keep being your wonderful, joyful self, Bramble. We’re all cheering you on, beautiful girl! ❤️🐾

We’d say, very confidently, that Daithi has settled in just fine with Pedro 🏡

Yes, we may be biased, but what a gorgeous pair of pointy nosed loveliness 😍

🐾🎉 EVA IS NOW AN APPROVED Pets As Therapy DOG! 🎉🐾

Eva absolutely aced her assessment today, and we couldn’t be prouder of our very special girl! ❤️🥹

The lovely assessor saw all the wonderful qualities in Eva that we’re lucky enough to see every single day, and now she’s ready to share that special magic with others 🐶💖

Well done, Eva! You’re going to make so many people smile 🥰🐾

🖤🐾 A belated Happy 6th Gotcha Day to this beauty! 🐾🖤

Ruby celebrated her Gotcha Day over the weekend, and how could we not give this silly long lady a little shout-out?! 😍

Six years of being her wonderful, gorgeous self! Here’s to many more years of love, happiness and long-legged silliness, sweet Ruby 🖤🐾

Happy Gotcha Day, beautiful girl! ❤️

🌧️ RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY! 🌧️😂

Thankfully, Orion Puppy doesn’t seem to mind a bit of rain! 🐾💙 He’s been keeping himself lovely and warm and dry in his posh new coats, looking every inch the stylish little gent! 🧥😍

Meanwhile, mum has been left feeling cold, soggy and thoroughly miserable! 🥴😂

Come on, sunshine, we’re ready for you! ☀️💛

Sooooo….

Rufus is a little cross with us 😫 Well, perhaps not cross, more disappointed (we aren’t actually sure which is worse to be honest) 😂

We have made an error in his profile and been telling all his fans that he’s looking for a home from South London, when actually he’s currently in Gloucestershire waiting for his call 📞

So Rufus we are very sorry our boy! We are telling all of your potential new hoomans right now that you are in Gloucestershire 🫶🏽

Please share for our lovely boy, he’s patiently waiting for his family ♥️

What a wonderful way to start the week! 🥹❤️

A HUGE thank you to everyone who responded to Iris’s plight, shared her story, offered support and donated towards getting her safely to the UK. We honestly cannot thank you enough 🙏❤️

✨ IRIS IS HERE IN THE UK AND STARTING HER NEW LIFE! ✨

This girl had a journey ahead of her, but thanks to the incredible kindness and generosity of so many people, she now has the chance of the future she deserves 🏡🐾

It’s moments like these that remind us just how much good can happen when people come together for a dog in need ♥️

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of Iris’s journey. Every share, every donation and every message of support helped make this possible 🥰

Here’s to a new beginning, a brighter future and a very happy life for our lovely Iris! 🇬🇧🐾❤️

HAPPY MONDAY, EVERYONE! WE COULDN’T HAVE ASKED FOR BETTER NEWS! 🎉❤️

😂🛏️ Remember Rosie’s new bed? Well, we have an update… SHE LOVES IT! 🥰❤️

Nothing quite like a comfy new bed to make life even more fabulous.

Now, if you need us, we’ll be over here trying not to disturb Her Majesty in her luxury suite. 👑😂💤

Sweet dreams, Rosie! ❤️🐾
