On Sunday 13 September, our team is walking 21 miles from Holyrood Park to Murrayfield.

Here's who they are.

They're the people who show up at seven in the morning in February to break ice off water troughs. They're the volunteers who built this place — 90 of them, 2,435 hours, on a reclaimed landfill site. They're young people who arrived and where empowered to take action in their communities and who now know these horses better than anyone.

None of them get paid. All of them are walking anyway.

What they're walking for: 20 rescue horses, 24 acres, and a place that has rehabilitated 79 horses since 2017

Why the Kiltwalk: because 100% of what's raised comes straight to us, plus up to 25% on top in Gift Aid. So £20 lands as £25. There isn't a better way to give to a small Scottish charity.

We are not a big organisation. There is no reserve fund. What comes in is what the horses eat.

If you've ever wondered whether your twenty quid makes any difference — at our size, it genuinely does.
