Building on the London 2012 Olympic games, Canning Town Caravanserai capitalizes on the energies and enthusiasm for sport, social enterprise and volunteering. The Caravanserai will provide a vibrant public space in the heart of Canning Town, open to a diverse spectrum of residents from the local area, and will also very much welcome visitors and passers-by. With the assistance of recent regenerati

on plans, Canning Town is currently transitioning from its former state of industrial decline. This proposal offers an opportunity to animate the area and provide the community with an adaptable local public space.
