We regret to announce that Woodbridge Camera Club has closed.

At an EGM on 20th January 2026 the Club was formally dissolved by agreement of the membership.

The members will be exploring the possibility of an ‘online’ activities group which may include visits, shoots & photo sharing.

Members and friends of Woodbridge Camera Club. We have called an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) for Tuesday 20th Jan. 2026 at 7:30 Quay Church Hall. Woodbridge. This meeting was proposed at the AGM last Sept. when we failed to elect a Chairperson and fill other key roles on the Steering Group. The proposal will be to formally close the club and members will be asked to vote on this.
After the meeting there will be an opportunity to discuss the formation of an informal group of friends to continue our photographic hobby. As Chair for the last 8 years I have worked tirelessly for the club but with my deteriorating eyesight I must stand down. I was deeply disappointed to be unable to find a successor.
Robin Garrod - Acting Chair - WCC.

Tuesday 21st Mono-PDI Challenge. We had a very good entry with 51 entries but only 14 members + a visitor attending.
Our Judge emailed us to say he was retiring for health reasons and after asking all our local judges we ended up with a DIY night.
Each image was displayed and then voted on in FaceBook style with a ❤️ Love, or a 👍Like by show of hands. It worked very well and members felt involved.
Joan Moore received most Loves for her 'Stag Beetle' runners up were Sandra Smith with 'Trapped in the Forest' and Robin Garrod with 'Sizewell Power Stations'

Hi Members
Earlier this month we competed in the Granville Foulger Trophy competition at East Ipswich. Our best scoring entry ‘Dew Drenched’ by Trevor Boyd scored 19.5 in the PDI’s but alas we were placed joint last in the final reckoning. Many thanks to members who supported the club’s entries and enjoyed the images and refreshments. There’s always next year to try again. I hope you are all looking forward to our Framlingham Scavenger Hunt on 6th May, I like the format set out by Mandy, fingers crossed for some fine weather.
Our next challenge is on Tuesday 20th May – PDI People & Pets, portraits of either or both. Barbie Lindsay will be critiquing them with lots of helpful guidance and suggestions.
Our zoom meeting in June is a talk on Architectural Photography by Ian Howard and our club night at the Quay is a presentation by Justin Minns. Lots to look forward to at WCC.
