Equality and Rights Network - EARN EARN enables individuals, organisations & communities to work with public agencies to promote equality & rights in Edinburgh and surrounding areas.

Set up in 2015, the Equalities and Rights Network (EaRN) is dedicated to enabling individuals, groups, organisations and communities of interest to work in partnership with public services across Edinburgh to:

• advance equality
• promote human rights
• tackle inequality and poverty

We believe that people with actual lived experience of discrimination and inequality are essential voices in developing meaningful policy and practice surrounding equality and rights. Through the activities of EaRN, communities and individuals facing marginalisation will have a stronger voice because:

• they are confident to articulate the change they want and need
• they understand public service processes and how to influence decision makers
• they are empowered by seeing REAL change

EaRN is funded by Edinburgh Council and other public sector partners.

EaRN Member Forum

We pleased to be launching a new series of forums for network members. These sessions will provide a space for you to connect with other members, learn about equality developments in the city, and influence those with the power to make decisions.

Our inaugural forum is taking place on Thursday 8th October from 2pm-4pm at Norton Park Conference Centre. This session will feature an introduction to Equal Edinburgh, the City of Edinburgh's new equality strategy, and an opportunity to contribute to the co-design of the new £2.5m Third Sector Grants Programme aimed at the prevention and mitigation of poverty in the city.
