Here at The Pendsey Trust we love having supporters of all ages, all over the world! But even for us, the attendees at this particular fundraiser were particularly young.

Two baby classes were run by Tiny Travellers with all the profits going to The Pendsey Trust.

The classes theme was India and it was all about festivals and celebration, the lights of Diwali and the colours of Holi festival, with colourful feathers and parachutes!

The children and their parents had a wonderful time listening to some beautiful Indian music and exploring India through music, movement and sensory suitcase surprises!

These little stars raised £156 for us. Well done everyone!

On this chilly Friday afternoon we are excited to transport you into the warmth of the Indian countryside as volunteer Roy adventures out to visit the home of Aradhya. Aged 13, this bright and determined girl lives with her mother and brother, and despite a diagnosis which is challenging at the best of times, dreams of a future in agriculture.

Aradhya is one of many young people still waiting for a sponsor at our partner clinic, DREAM Trust. Please get in contact if you would like to sponsor Aradhya or another child like her.

Volunteer Roy meets Aradhya and her family, and hears a little about their journey with Type 1 diabetes.

Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing our very first staff feature film from the DREAM Trust clinic in Nagpur - and we couldn’t be more excited for you to meet the incredible people behind the care. 💙 Together, they work every day to support children living with Type 1 diabetes.

First up: Dr. Sanket Pendsey.

Dr. Sanket leads and manages the DREAM Trust, providing expert care, guidance, and education to children and their families. Since stepping into this role, he has brought a new wave of innovation to the Trust, including patient webinars designed to empower families and improve diabetes management.

When we asked the team how they would describe Dr. Sanket, their words said it all: a compassionate caregiver and a legacy-driven leader, proudly carrying forward his father’s vision while shaping the future of the Trust.

Stay tuned as we continue to share the stories of the people making a difference, every single day. ✨

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing more about our work, the incredible children at the clinic, and the dedicated staff who make it all happen. These stories will be brought to life through beautiful videos created by our wonderful volunteer, Roy.

Before we begin, we wanted to take a moment to look back. This video was made 6 years ago and captures the very beginning of our journey — a reminder of where it all started, and why this work matters so much to us. 💛

We are delighted to launch our first official video as a charity, and to share with you our vision. We have been working with our local partner, the DREAM Tr...

As well as being the first day of 2026, today is also the ‘birthday’ of our local partner, DREAM Trust, who are celebrating 30 years of operation.

We couldn’t resist sharing this gorgeous artwork to mark the occasion, created by talented sponsor child Sonal Mirche!

Wishing all of our supporters all the love, luck, and good health for the new year ❤️

Needless to say, as a tiny charity that began with a few pub quizzes and hog roasts, it’s both humbling and deeply inspiring to see a pile of 140 folders representing children sponsored by the Trust ❤️

This message comes from our very own queen 👑 - the Welfare Coordinator at our local partner, DREAM Trust - and it perfectly captures what your generosity has made possible.

Thank you for your incredible kindness and support. You are changing lives in ways that truly matter. Wishing every one of you a very Merry Christmas 🎄✨

Today we are making it even easier to give as we accelerate towards our Christmas aim of providing 4 strips per day in January for the children in India, who normally manage with just 2 a day.

A strip costs just 12p so every penny literally counts.

Text 4STRIPS followed by your donation amount to 70085 to give that amount. Texts will cost the donation amount plus one standard network rate message.

If you send just one text message today, let it be one which spreads a bit of Christmas magic for these inspiring young people ❤️

You can still donate at https://www.justgiving.com/page/4-test-strips if you prefer.

You guys blow our mind, every time…we are over halfway to our total!

The big question is…can we double it before Christmas Day? Can we persuade any more of you to sacrifice a coffee or a takeaway this festive season, and help us achieve our goal of four test strips a day for each of the children we work with in India?

Each strip costs just 12p so every penny literally counts.

🎄 Looking for a meaningful Christmas gift?
We all have someone on our list who’s impossible to buy for - so this year, why not give a gift that truly changes a life?

For children living with Type 1 diabetes in India, even basic care can be out of reach. A single blood glucose test strip costs just 12p, yet it can mean the difference between safety and danger. Right now, the children we support only have access to two test strips a day - and it simply isn’t enough.

✨ This Christmas, we’re pledging to give as many children as possible two extra strips per day - that’s 60 extra test strips a month, for just £21.60.

Your support can help a child avoid dangerous highs and lows, stay in school, and live with the confidence every child deserves.

🎁 Give the gift of health by making a donation here:

We’re also offering printable Christmas Gift Certificates that you can give to a friend, family member, teacher or colleague to show the impact of your donation. They can be personalised for any number of test strips or duration. Just email or DM us if you’d like one!

Thank you for helping us protect these amazing children this Christmas. ❤️
