We've only been back a week but our amazing staff team are already back at it, with Climbing Club tonight and Mountain Biking tomorrow 🧗‍♀️🚵‍♀️

They do get to rest, honest 😅

Well, the staff are mostly back at work now, but WATTO has had reports from his place of work that 16 Junior Officers are still missing, following the BZN Officers Mess Easter egg hunt...

And that's it, we're now on the coach on our way home 😭

There are tired bodies, much dirty kit, but many great memories. To quote one Cadet when 3 F-15s flew over them "I think I've gained some aura"

Thanks to all the center staff for putting up with us and feeding us delicious food ❤️

See you again next year!

And that's almost a wrap. Our last day of activities has come to an end and we make our way home tomorrow.

We've been so incredibly lucky with the weather to the point where we've managed to climb outside each day!

We hope the Cadets have enjoyed themselves just as much as the Cadet in the first photo 😉.

What a day!! It was due to be a complete washout this afternoon, but the sunshine stayed around till everyone was loading themselves back onto the buses.

A group even managed to summit Helvellyn via swirral edge! ⛰️

We managed to get out in the canoes today, and it was even blooming warm!

The Gold DofE team checked in with us today as well and seem to be making good process and keeping their spirits up!

Boats were a no go today due to force 5 winds, so a trip to Kendal climbing wall it was instead.

The weather was touch and go at times, but the outside climbers managed to climb hutton roof with some abseiling thrown in.

A mystery stile was thrown in on the walk around Froswick, III Bell & Yorke 👀

And the mountain bikers were distracted by Typhoons going through valley 😅

Our first day had been our traditional shakedown walk where we test kit out, their navigation skills and general hardiness.

The weather most definitely was not on our side today, with gusts of 50mph and sideways rain that felt like ice to the face. It may have been unpleasant at the time, but now they're beaming and looking back on how much of a cool experience that was!

We have landed safe and sound at our centre in Windermere ⛰️

The sun is shining (let's hope it stays), beds are being made and the kit has been checked.

As usual we'll be updating our socials over the next week. Keep those eyes peeled.
