A huge thank you to the talented students from Canterbury College and teachers, Ms Ralfs and Ms Parker, who handcrafted a collection of beautiful ceramic tiles and animal sculptures for our Garden of Peace at Strode Park House in Herne.

Their wonderful artwork has brought character, creativity and a personal touch to this peaceful outdoor space, helping to create a place where residents and staff can relax, reflect and enjoy nature.

Thank you, Canterbury College, for your generosity and hard work!

🗻Sunrise Snowdon Climb for The Coach House.

Among the Snowdon Climbers team are Roz and Ryan from The Coach House, joined by their friends and family members, Freddy, Carl and Lauren. The group is taking on the challenge to climb Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) before dawn to support The Coach House, our residential home in Herne, by raising funds for equipment that will make a real difference to the lives of our residents with disabilities.

Their goal is to raise £500 towards vital equipment that will enhance opportunities, independence and quality of life for the residents at The Coach House. While the climb will be tough, the team is determined to reach the summit knowing every step helps to support a cause that means a great deal to them.

🗻Rosi's Sunrise Snowdon Climb for Strode Park House.

On 13th September, a team of fundraisers will be taking on an extraordinary challenge for Strode Park Foundation by climbing Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) before dawn, making the demanding ascent in darkness to reach the summit as the sun rises.

Among the team is Rosi from Strode Park House, who is raising funds for a very special cause close to her heart. Rosi is aiming to raise £2,000 towards a life-changing piece of equipment for residents with disabilities at Strode Park House in Herne: a Neater Eater Manual Assistive Feeding Device.

The Neater Eater helps people living with conditions such as cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis gain greater independence at mealtimes. By enabling residents to feed themselves through their own movements, it can increase confidence, encourage social interaction, and make eating a more enjoyable and empowering experience.

The equipment and accessories cost £2,466, and every donation will help bring this invaluable support to residents at Strode Park House.

🙏Please support Rosi's incredible challenge here: www.justgiving.com/page/rosissnowdonclimb

💙No matter how big or small, your donation will make a real difference. Thank you!

Help us create a life-changing sensory bathroom for the young people at Footprints.

For the young people we support at Footprints residential home in Canterbury, bath time is so much more than a daily routine. Water provides a calming sensory experience that can reduce anxiety, soothe muscles, support respiratory health and prepare them for physiotherapy. Strode Park Foundation’s Sensory Bathroom Appeal will transform this important part of their day by funding a purpose-built space with a specialist spa bath, calming music, soft lighting and a fully accessible environment.

To help make this vision a reality, we are hosting a fantastic afternoon of live music featuring Rock Choir and Herne Bay Concert Band, with all proceeds supporting the appeal.

📅 Saturday 5th September
🕧 12.30pm - 3.30pm
📍 Amphitheatre, Strode Park House, Herne, CT6 7NE

Enjoy performances from:
🎵 Rock Choir – the nation's most popular, local and award-winning contemporary choir experience.
🎺 Herne Bay Concert Band – bringing an entertaining mix of marches, overtures, rock, pop and musical favourites, performed by talented brass, woodwind and percussion musicians.

🎟️ Tickets are just £5, with all proceeds supporting Strode Park Foundation's Sensory Bathroom Appeal. Book today: www.strodepark.org.uk/events.
