CAT RUN OVER

We are sorry to report that a cat has been struck and killed on the flyover by the Builth Road turn.

It was a Medium sized all Grey cat with an orange and black collar (pictured) with no name or number.

I moved the cat onto the footpath on the bridge and retained its collar.

Hopefully this message finds the owner who can retrieve the cat or its collar should they wish.

With deep sadness

CEFNLLYS CHARITY SHOP 2025/26

We were thrilled to be back at the Cefnllys School Community Charity Shop over the festive and New Year period.

It was an incredible 2 weeks and we would like to thank all who volunteered many hours of their time to help sort, serve and interact with people.

Our total raised this year for projects around the village was; £1704.86

This is after making a £200 donation to the charity Autistic in which we wish Jimi all the best for his London Marathon run on April 26th.
Thanks for all your help at the shop.

Christmas lights will be switched on at 6.30pm at the Shelter by Cambrian Arms.

Pop along for a mince pie if you have a spare half hour

Our sincerest thanks to all those who work hard to decorate the area, most of all Pam, Buck and family, Debbie and Dave Lang.

It definitely ensures that Builth road looks bright enough for Santa 🎅 to spot from above on a busy Xmas eve.

Thanks to PTP - Preserved Timber Products for our stunning tree 🎄 as well as providing the electricity

Merry Christmas from all at Builth Road.

POSTPONED 🎄🎄🎄
please be aware that we have had to postpone the Christmas lights switch on until Thursday 11th December 6.30pm due to the poor weather.

It is very wet & windy by the shelter and conditions are not set to improve.

We hope to see you then for mulled wine, mince pies and music.

Best wishes

As you may have guessed there is no planned Bonfire night event this year at Builth Road.

This is to let the ground and the team recover 😁

The small firepit will be lit on Saturday 8th around 5.30pm for anyone wishing to pop down and toast your own marshmallows etc. (Weather permitting)

Please note this is not a supervised or Community Group run event.

See you for the Christmas lights switch on 🎄 🎅
