📚 A little surprise from FOSS! 📚

Today, every child at Sompting Village Primary School was invited to take home two free books as part of supporting this year’s Summer Reading Challenge. 🌞📖

The idea was simple - one book for themselves and one to share with a sibling or another family member. (Although we’ve heard a few children may have managed to sneak an extra one or two into their bags… and honestly, we can’t be too upset about children wanting more books! 😂📚)

These books have been kindly donated to FOSS over the past couple of years, and we wanted to give something back to all of our wonderful families before the summer holidays.

So, if you’re wondering why your child has come home with a book that doesn’t seem quite right for their age, it’s likely because they chose it for a brother, sister, or another family member.

We hope you enjoy some wonderful reading together over the summer. Happy holidays and happy reading! 💙📖

💙 THANK YOU, SOMPTING! 💙

What an incredible Summer Fayre! Thanks to the amazing support of our school community, we raised a WHOPPING £4,810 for our school! 🎉

A huge thank you to:
💚 Our fantastic volunteers for all their hard work.
💚 Our generous sponsors and raffle prize donors.
💚 Everyone who performed in the Sompting Showcase – you were amazing!
💚 Mr Sykens for being such a great sport and taking on the gunge challenge!
💚 Our wonderful teachers and staff, especially Mr Green, for all their support.
💚 And finally, thank you to every parent, family member and friend who came along, supported the event and made it such a fantastic afternoon.

We couldn’t have done it without you all. Thank you for making this year’s Summer Fayre such a huge success! 💙
