The charity’s vision is to free the poor and destitute from inequalities.

SteppingStones Charity is a group of dedicated volunteers whose prime concern is to promote and improve education and alleviate poverty and suffering of the poorest of people in South and Central America. We have been trusted to provide support where it is most needed, at the forefront of pioneering change for those less fortunate than us. Every year, through our network and association of volunteers, we work directly with hundreds of disadvantaged communities – from helping families trapped in poverty, to setting up livelihood projects. Through our ambitious campaigns and determination to end poverty, we challenge misconceptions, change attitudes and implement diversity. We are ambitious for all disadvantaged people and are determined, through our commitment and care, to give every vulnerable community the greatest possible chance in life. We support communities in their personal development and help build positive relationships, working together to allow them to reach and achieve their full potential and realise their ambitions. Our supporters around the country are central to all of our work, funding our services and assisting us financially in our campaigns.

Ashura (10th Muharram) falls on Thursday 25th June 2026— The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encouraged fasting on this day, and it is recommended to fast the 10th together with either the 9th (Wednesday 24th June) or 11th (Friday 26th June) of Muharram.
May Allah accept our fasting and grant us His mercy and forgiveness.
