Group allotment sessions - Garden Angels volunteer to clear and tidy gardens - Waveney Women's Wanderers walks on a weekly basis at a variety of routes

"Women Like Me" is a movement for women to learn, laugh and grow together, to develop and nurture positive Well-Being and to feel positive about ourselves. We hold regular sessions on each of our allotments. The best thing to do is come and see for yourself, we're a friendly bunch and we're all in the same boat. We also run the Garden Angels project, where women volunteer their time to clear and tidy others gardens. Our women only walking group, walks on Tuesdays and Thursday every week, where we visit some lovely areas in and around Waveney. It always makes me smile at the diversity of sights and experiences we have on our wanders. From mother nature doing her thing 😚 , to massive beasts trying to stand in our way 😆
But together we always get through, and are able to share these adventures together.
Always remember ladies, there's strength in numbers!
Supporting each other to get to where we want to be 🤗
And together, we can Learn-Laugh & Grow

Its amazing how quickly time flies by. We try to take pics of each wander, and before you know it we're near the end of September 😳
Just to add, that this week was the first time some actually wore long sleeved tops, instead of tee-shirts and sun cream!

We're happy to announce that we have spaces for new members to join our fabulous Waveney Womens Wanderers walking group.
It's a great way to see some beautiful areas in and around Waveney. And to make new connections with other like minded women.
We even allow well behaved dogs to join in the fun too.
So why not do something that's just for you, and sign up to become a member

We’re proud to share that a project Women Like Me were part of, has been nominated as part of the Community Voices: Women’s Health partnership for the Partnership with People and Communities Award at the Norfolk and Suffolk Health and Care Awards 2026!

This collaborative programme managed by and supported by Suffolk Community Foundation, brought together local organisations to ensure women’s voices are heard and genuinely shape the healthcare they receive. We helped co-produce resources, training and improvements that are already making a difference across local NHS services.

We’re incredibly proud to have been part of this partnership and to help drive meaningful change for women across Norfolk and Suffolk.
