Bank Search Training Weekend

This weekend, you may have seen some of our dedicated team members taking part in Bank Search training at Essex Bridge Great Haywood.

The training helps our volunteers develop and maintain the specialist skills needed when searching waterways, rivers and other challenging environments.

As an entirely volunteer-led team, regular training is essential to ensuring our members are prepared to respond when they’re needed most — 24/7, 365 days a year.

A huge well done to everyone who took part this weekend!

World Su***de Prevention Day

Sometimes, a simple conversation can make a bigger difference than we realise.

If you’re worried about someone, don’t be afraid to ask if they’re okay. Take a moment to listen, show them you care and let them know they don’t have to face things alone.

You don’t need to have all the answers. Sometimes, simply being there can be enough to help someone through a difficult moment. 💚

This World Su***de Prevention Day, let’s look out for one another, start conversations and remember that small actions can make a life-changing difference.

If you’re struggling, or need someone to talk to, Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, on 116 123 — free from any phone.

📞 Samaritans: 116 123

You don’t have to be an expert to make a difference. Just be there. 💚

EMERGENCY SERVICES DAY – 999 DAY

Today, Staffordshire Search and Rescue would like to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to all those who work and volunteer across our emergency services. ❤️

To our colleagues in Police, Fire & Rescue, Ambulance, NHS, Coastguard, Mountain Rescue, Search & Rescue and all the other emergency services — thank you for your dedication, courage and commitment, often working in incredibly challenging circumstances to keep our communities safe.

We are proud to work alongside so many incredible professionals and volunteers. Whether responding to an emergency, searching for a vulnerable person, supporting a colleague or simply being there when someone needs help — together, we make a difference.

Today we also remember those who have lost their lives in the line of duty, and recognise the families and loved ones who support those who serve.

From all of us at Staffordshire Search and Rescue.

Thank you for everything you do, 24/7, 365 days a year. 💙

Today, we came together with our partners at Staffordshire Fire and Rescue and Officialwmas to recognise Emergency Services Day.

We recognised and celebrated the dedication of those who work across the emergency services, keeping our communities safe every day.

Thank you to everyone who serves, and to those who have served before. We are incredibly grateful for your resilience, compassion and commitment. 🩵
