A great meeting at the Talbot Rise Social Club today ,to remember our Old Friend GEOFF LUTHER.. Many of his old comrades in the International Truck Driving Industry were there to pay their respects to their old pal. Having succumbed to that blasted Motor Neuron disease, Geoff fought to beat it ,but sadly lost the fight.

Rest in peace Old Friend ...we shall mis you....

As was decided at the last re-union,"Sleepy" Dave (Browning)( Mob. Phone No:-07769 700786) will be taking over the reins of the Annual Re-Union. He will have all the details of The Bridge House Hotel and also the shirt supplier. We will go down to HSBC Bank in Poole to put his name as the signatory of the S.O.F.A. Bank a/c, (which will still be the same a/c number) in the next few days.....However, I will still hold the reins of the S.O.F.A. Drivers Distress Fund, which I hope you will continue to support. It's been
an interesting few years managing to get all you Old Farts together at the Round House ,The Mayfair Hotel and at the Bridge House hotels, but I'm feeling it's time to say I've done my bit .
I hope you will all continue to meet @ The Bridge House and carry on the re-Unions while we are still in control of our marbles, and please ....continue to support the OLD FARTS DISTRESS FUND. Thanks.

The 25th Old Farts Re-union went off quite well but this was the last one that I organised. Sleepy Dave (Browning) will take over for the next re-union , so watch out for his invites......it will still be held on the first Saturday in October.Contact details to follow .....
