National Lottery Heritage Fund - Nature Network Round 6 - EOI by 5 Aug

Grants of £250,000 to £1 million to organisations working with natural heritage in Wales to improve wildlife and biodiversity in and around protected sites, including SSSIs, SACs, SPAs, National Nature Reserves, Ramsar sites and Marine Conservation Zones. The fund supports nature recovery, habitat restoration, ecological connectivity, community engagement and organisational capacity building. Applicants must first submit an Expression of Interest by 12 noon on 5 Aug.

Awarding grants from £250,000 to £1million, this fund aims to strengthen the resilience of Wales’ network of protected land, freshwater and marine sites and build organisations’ capacity to accelerate nature’s recovery and engage communities.

New Lottery Fund! - Small Eco Awards!

Project location: Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales
Amount: £300 to £20,000
A decision in: 12 weeks
Programme status: Open to applications

The climate and nature emergency affects us all. But local action can make a real difference. We want to fund projects that have environmental sustainability as their main aim.
We’ll fund projects that meet at least one of our priorities:

*help people connect with and care for nature in their area
*make a positive difference to the environment
*help people tackle pollution in their communities

You can use our funding to:
*start a new activity or continue an existing one (if it meets our priorities)
*help your organisation or community (or both) adapt to new challenges
*run one-off events that have a clear environmental benefit

Small Eco Awards are designed to support projects that take small, everyday actions that benefit both people and planet. This could include:

*Energy efficiency and carbon reduction
*Growing food and supporting community growing spaces
*Reducing waste, repairing and reusing
*Improving shared spaces and making community buildings greener
*Engaging in climate education and inspiring behaviour change
*Protecting nature and supporting local wildlife
*Helping people connect with the outdoors and the natural world
*Building resilience and preparing communities for changing weather
*Supporting local sustainable transport options

If your group is already thinking about how to make your place better, Small Eco Awards could be for you, even if you wouldn't describe yourselves as an environmental organisation.

Additionally, if your group already holds a National Lottery Community Fund grant, that doesn't mean you can't apply for Small Eco Awards. Groups can hold a Small Eco Awards grant alongside existing funding from programmes like National Lottery Awards for All.

CLA Charitable Trust - grants

The CLA Charitable Trust seeks to support the most disadvantaged, and especially disadvantaged young people, to access the benefits of the countryside. Max value of grant £10000

Who can apply:
To be eligible for funding, organistions must be either a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation e.g. a social enterprise or Community Interest Company.

Restrictions:
Previous applicants need to wait 3 years before reapplying.
Eligible Expenditure:
The trustees will consider applications for a wide range of expenditure including running costs, salaries, capital expenditure and project costs.
