We are looking for Support Workers to join our Service based in Rotherham on a permanent Basis to support the mixed household who live in a large bungalow in an established Rotherham village.
They communicate both verbally and non-verbally so you will need to be patient, observant and passionate about building communication.
They love having fun and playing so a good sense of humour and willingness to be a bit silly at times is essential.
Some of the support you will be providing – supporting with personal care, household tasks, cooking meals, medication/ medical appointments / finance and keeping digital records up to date. Also arranging / supporting on to a range of activities, finding new and exciting places to visit.
25 hours per week which will include weekend working, and some early bird starts, flexibility,
The role of a Support Worker can be challenging at times, so it is essential to have a positive mind-set with a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. You will need to be quick thinking with a positive can-do attitude.
We having great one to one times from bowling to cinema to stage shows etc.
We realise that your quality time is important too, so your rota is prepared well in advance.
We are looking for individuals who have a happy and smiley disposition with a great sense of humour!
