A membership organisation, we provide caring and professional door-to-door community transport services for residents who have difficulty accessing public transport. The vision of Little Green Bus is to connect communities by providing access to local services, activities and events. We offer a wide range of service:-
Dial-a-Ride - £5 flat fare
Providing transport for essential weekly shopping, we visit towns, villages and areas within the Ribble Valley on various days of the week and will find a place for you on the most appropriate bus for your area
Volunteer Car Scheme - 50p per mile paid direct to the driver
A one-to-one and door-to-door transport service, provided by volunteers using their own cars, for mainly medical appointments that would be inaccessible without out support. A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for this service and we urge you to let us know as soon as you receive your appointment
Day Trips - £12 per trip/Short Country Runs (if available) - £6 per trip
Each Wednesday and on occasional Thursdays throughout the year, we provide a variety of shopping/recreation trips to shopping and garden centres, the seaside and local market towns. Please be aware that due to this service being available to all of our members, you may be on the bus for as little as 30 minutes or as long as 90 minutes each way dependent on where you are on the pick-up and drop-off schedule
We provide occasional country runs to give our passengers 'a change of scenery'. Group Transport - Price per journey
Available to local community and school groups. Contact us for rates and details

Users of Little Green Bus Community Transport should be persons who are unable to use existing public transport services due to mobility disadvantage, having no suitable transport available, and there being no other form of suitable transport available to make the trip. This is also taken to include persons unable to (or with some difficulty) walk as far as their nearest bus stop, or unable to (or with some difficulty) manage to carry a reasonable amount of shopping in either alighting from a standard bus or walking from the nearest bus stop to their home address. Little Green Bus shall initially judge this eligibility and in the event of dispute over whether or not a person is experiencing mobility disadvantage, the matter would be referred to Lancashire County Council. Each disabled or elderly person will be entitled to be accompanied by one es**rt or helper by prior arrangement with the office and providing there is sufficient space on the bus. Such es**rts will be charged the relevant fares. What help can Little Green Bus drivers provide? Drivers can provide assistant to and from your door to the vehicle - for example to help you with shopping bags to your front door. However, our drivers are not expected to provide any assistance within the home, nor can they provide passengers with personal assistance such as helping you to get dressed before you go out. If you need help over and above the help that we can offer, you should contact your local authority social services department.
