A huge thank you to Simon Dell for breathing life back into the clock at the hall. The clock hasn’t worked for a number of years now but Anne’s determination to get it back up and running has finally paid off.

The clock was kindly donated by the late Arthur Irving and is great to see it in working order again.

Thank you also to Simon for painting the guttering.

After retiring in July last year, Dr Rose and Gillian wanted to give something back to the community in which they had been a huge part of for 29 years. They have very kindly donated a lovely seat, situated between the children’s play park and the river, where they would like the community to “Sit and Chat” and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

They are enjoying retirement and wonder how they ever had time to fit work in.

Wishing them a long and happy retirement and thank you for all the years of service to Canonbie community and beyond.
