This three-stage journey is designed to take you from your first game to confident casual play, with friendly support from our staff and System Champions every step of the way.

🟣 STAGE 1 — DEMO DAY

📅 Thursday 22nd October

FREE — NO TICKET REQUIRED!

Drop in between 6pm–8pm and try Warhammer: The Old World for free.

We’ll provide everything you need, and a friendly member of staff or system champion will walk you through the basics so you can see if the game is right for you.

🔵 STAGE 2 — LEARN TOGETHER

📅 Thursday 29th October

Ready to take the next step?

Bring a small force or starter deck of your own and jump into relaxed, casual games with other new players. With guidance from our team and system champions, you’ll learn the rules while actually playing and having fun.

A great opportunity to meet other players and start finding your feet on the battlefield.

🔥 STAGE 3 — ESCALATION LEAGUE

📅 Starts Thursday 5th November

Now it's time to grow!

Build your force or deck over a number of weeks as the games grow bigger and more exciting. Learn advanced rules, compete for prizes, and finish ready to dive into casual play, narrative events, or tournaments.

You don't need to commit to every stage - drop in, get involved and progress at your own pace.

Whether you're picking up your first miniature or returning to the Old World after years away, there's a place for you at the table.

🤝 LXT Meet The Member Monday

📝 Name/Nickname: Chris AKA Salty/Grumpy
🗓️ Age: 40
📍 Location : Newport
🛡️ Armies: currently Blood Angels and Astra but Knights coming soon. And Eldar were my first love so they sit proudly at home.

🎨 What's your favourite thing about the hobby?
My favourite part of the hobby is painting, I'm a painter and collector first, gamer second. Nothing better than finishing a model you have poured hours of time into.

❤️ Favourite Model?
Oh I have too many, I don't play Death Guard but had a blast painting Mortarion and also the Avatar of Khaine. I'm a sucker for a tank so the Rogal Dorn is right up there... I have 4!

🔍 Loyalist, Xeno or Traitor?
I'm a loyalist at heart so Imperium all the way... and the Eldar are pretty good in the grand scheme so definitely a loyalist.

❓What do you love about LXT?
I always struggled feeling like I fitted in, so when Adam dragged me kicking and screaming back into the gaming side and I even got to do the socials for LXT in it's infancy before passing it to the much more skilled Ben, meant I got to have a close up view of the work that's gone into growing the club into an amazing inclusive group. It's meant I always have someone to chat s**t with, everyone is pretty normal and you don't always get that in the hobby, it's such a lively environment and ive met loads of top people through it.
The support I see that goes beyond the hobby is amazing, People genuinely care here which is great.

Thank you Chris! If you want to connect with Chris follow him here 👉🏻 Chris
