Did someone say its the start of June tomorrow!? If so, that can only mean one thing..... there is just 80 days to go until the start of Suffolk Punch 2026! 🏕

Unit Leaders - Don't forget to finish adding your final numbers onto the EvBoo system. The next payment install is due at the end of June.

Survival Camp 2026

Wow—what an incredible event! We had over 100 young people take part, with many sleeping outdoors in shelters and even trying rabbit as part of the experience. We hope your young people thoroughly enjoyed the experience, challenges, and activities.

🧥 Lost Property
We do have a number of items of lost property remaining from the camp. Please have a look at the photos attached.

If you believe any of it may belong to you or your Scout, please let us know as soon as possible and arrange collection from Kesgrave Scout Hall.

👉 Items must be collected by 12 May 2026
After this time, any unclaimed items may be donated or disposed of.

Please also note that we have found some items of jewellery which are not shown in the photos. If you think any of these may belong to you or your Scout child, please contact us as soon as possible.

Thank You for 2025

As we approach the festive season, we would like to express my heartfelt thanks for your dedication and support throughout 2025. Your commitment has helped us to continue to create life-changing experiences for young people and strengthen our Scouting community with Deben District.

You have also helped us to welcome more young people throughout 2025 as our numbers continue to grow and in 2026 we look forward to the opening of a new Squirrel Drey as well as a new Explorer Unit. There is also work happening in the background for our Network aged members.

We have a year of celebration ahead as not one, but three sections have a big birthday coming up! Keep an eye out for more information on how Deben District will be celebrating these. There will be cake!

We hope this Christmas brings you joy, peace, and time to recharge. Together, we look forward to an exciting year ahead as we continue to inspire and empower our young members of Deben District.

🔥 Phoenix Camp 2026 – Sign-Up Now Open! 🔥

Action, Adventure & Discovery: Our London Challenge Weekend
We’re excited to invite all Explorers and eligible Scouts (those due to move up to Explorers within the next year) to join us for our fun-packed Phoenix Camp 2026! 🏕️✨

This will be an amazing, action-packed weekend, featuring activities that most Scouts and Explorers will not have experienced before (subject to change), including:

🗺️ The Big London Challenge
A Saturday challenge into London, solving clues by visiting famous London landmarks.
🎢 Gravity Max, Stratford (Evening Visit)
Take part in adrenaline-filled activities such as go-karting, mini-golf, laser tag, darts and more!

Camp dismissed ⛺️

We hope all those young members who attended the Cub and Scout Link Camp had a fantastic time.
