Work has started on planting up the new train on platform 2.
Thank you to Scotrail for financing the purchase of the train.

The Baby and Toddler group who meet at the Uddingston Community Centre - New on a Monday morning planted up one of the new planters in the Community garden today.
They planted beetroot and pansies.
Thank you to Julie and Mathew and all the helpers for their work.

Great excitement today at the station.
Our new wooden train has arrived and has been placed on the Edinburgh platform.
Thank you to Barrel Creations ,Cabrach, Huntly for making and delivering the train and to Network Rail for securing the train on the platform.
The train will be planted up in the next few days.

A new planter has been erected on the land at the entrance to Bothwell Golf Club.
The planter was planted up tonight by the' Monday night ladies ' and Kevin.
The plants were purchased from Rosebank Garden Centre.

Yesterday new planters for the community garden arrived .
Four have been positioned at the front of the building and will be filled with perennials and bedding plants in the next couple of weeks.
The small trough planters placed at the back of the garden will be used for teaching local children about growing plants and vegetables.

Earlier this year on one of our visits to Aitkenhead Primary school we planted carrot seeds with some of the pupils.
Last week when the pupils returned to school they found out that their planting had been successful and sent us a picture of their carrots.
We are looking forward to working with Aitkenhead Primary school again this year.

We were asked by Derek at the library if we could help tidy up the area in front of the library.
Tonight along with Derek , some of the library staff and the Monday night team we weeded the area and started tidying up the plants.
What a difference an hours hard work makes to an area.
We will help the staff again in the near future to brighten up this part of the village.
Thank you to everyone tonight for their hard work.
