It’s starting to come together….. Good progress at Leaky Finders on the Q boiler, at Sheffield Park the workshop team have made the tender whole again.

On 3/6/1937 928 Stowe waits at Portsmouth Harbour ready for the 1145am departure to Waterloo.
Stowe update - Pattern core boxes for the new cylinder have been delivered to the foundry from East Coast Castings.

A step forward for the Q Class at Sheffield Park. Workshop staff have completed repairs to the tender chassis, which now sits on freshly overhauled axleboxes and re-profiled tyres.

Great progress on Q class 541 at Leaky Finders. Boiler stays, rivets and patch screws nearly complete. Frame inserts fully assembled and ready for installation.

Q Class 541 update: Our friends at Leaky Finders in Devon continue to make good progress on frame repairs and firebox work.
When 541 is complete, Leaky Finders will re-commence work on our Schools class boiler, which is already on site. If able please consider contribution at:
