What a wonderful sight at St Mark’s Church last night. 🤠🌾

Beautifully dressed and ready for a very special Country Night — all organised to raise much-needed funds for our village church.

HDCC is incredibly proud of the fundraising efforts of the Hadlow Down Community Association, and of the many people who quietly give their time, energy and skills to make events like this happen.

Our village is so lucky to have you.

Behind every decorated table, every meal served, every ticket sold and every community gathering are volunteers giving up their time — not because they have to, but because they care about this place and the people who live here.

It is this extraordinary network of volunteers that keeps so much of village life going: our events, clubs, church, sports, celebrations and the places where we simply come together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Country Night happen — and to everyone across Hadlow Down who volunteers in ways large and small throughout the year. You are a huge part of what makes this village such a special place to live. ❤️

What an incredible challenge... and an incredible woman. 🚴‍♀️💙

Mandy Chapman, one of our wonderful Hadlow Down Community Centre Trustees is undertaking an extraordinary journey, cycling from Dover to Istanbul.

Having been diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR), she's turning a deeply personal challenge into something positive by raising funds for Polymyalgia charities whilst also supporting our campaign to build Hadlow Down's new Village Hall and Community Centre.

It takes courage, determination and no small amount of grit to contemplate a journey of this scale. Every mile pedalled will help raise awareness of PMR, while also bringing us a little closer to creating a modern, accessible community hub for future generations of Hadlow Down.

We're enormously proud to have such an inspiring trustee on our team and know the whole village will join us in wishing her safe travels, strong legs and fair winds.

HDCC are looking forward to supporting the Village Fayre Team as the Big Village Party approaches. The Marquee will be going up on Thursday at 3pm, do come along and help if you can. If not, see you on Saturday from 2pm for the main event

We are looking forward to welcoming ticket 🎟️ holders to “Race Night” tonight, 7pm in the Village Hall.
