Hi everyone, GfG will be changing to Plot To Plate Café (TM) (R) at the end of March. We won't be open as a Café for a couple of months because we've got to make some big changes. We will be running as a volunteer group from April for those who can offer us skills and time and who want to be part of building an amazing Café set on the allotment, to benefit everyone.
We're nervous about change but all really excited too.
We will still be supporting adults at risk and be linked to WBC services.
We'll be thanking everyone in another post nearer in the next 2 weeks. It's not goodbye it's a natural change.

Sadly we need to let everyone know that we've been burgled for the 2nd time since January!
Our staff & vulnerable adults were upset to find, in January, that someone had broken in and stolen items they deemed precious to their wellbeing! At the time we rode it out waiting for the police to sort it from blurry cctv , so we didn't post anything. We suspected a family we knew.
Last night we got burgled again and got really good video footage confirming our suspicions. We've reached out to the family and given them a chance to return the items stolen and pay for the damage rather than us continuing with a prosecution. The family members just said "get the police if you've got good cctv footage! We're not showing it on Facebook because it hurts us in any police prosecution! AND the footage is very clearly someone that we know and we are so devastated by it! If we can clearly see who it is then everyone that knows them will see it too.
We can't believe that someone we've trusted would steal our vulnerable adults things!! Karaoke, cctv monitor and hardware and 2 TVs!
If we don't get justice for our gfg people then we will let everyone see who they are! We're so upset, tired and blown away that someone would do this!

Gfg are looking to employ bank staff (work to cover when current staff cannot be there)
This position is to cover transport duties and work in a group but on a 1-1 basis with individuals.
Full clean drivers licence and aptitude to be trained to our specific needs is essential.
We also have 2 care support volunteer posts available 4 days per week or 4 volunteer posts available 2 days a week. All job positions are subject to DBS checks.
We are putting this out now before it's sent to the job centre for recruitment.
Working with specific special needs clients, in an alternative environment.
