Skylarks Charity Skylarks is a charity based in Richmond supporting children and young people who have additional needs and their families.

We are independent - anyone from anywhere is welcome. We are open at the Crossway Centre every Tuesday afternoon and Friday morning in term time. We also offer holiday activities and a wide range of services virtually via Zoom. We also have a range of pre-recorded videos for adults and children. Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. Our charity was founded by parent carers who knew the power of shared experience.

Today, we’re proud to be supporting amazing families who care for children and young people with additional needs. To all the carers in our community: we see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you. You are amazing! 🧑✨

Our Spread Your Wings Career Coaching Programme supports young people with additional needs to develop confidence, communication skills, self-awareness and employability skills through engaging and interactive workshops.

Participants explore their strengths, build friendships and develop valuable skills to help prepare them for adulthood, further education and future employment.
