Skylarks Charity Skylarks is a charity based in Richmond supporting children and young people who have additional needs and their families.

We are independent - anyone from anywhere is welcome. We are open at the Crossway Centre every Tuesday afternoon and Friday morning in term time. We also offer holiday activities and a wide range of services virtually via Zoom. We also have a range of pre-recorded videos for adults and children. A SUPER HUGE well done to our Skylarks Superheroes Team Westies & Team Mehed who completed the Superhero Series Tri powered by Marvel at Dorney Lake this weekend! ๐Ÿ’ช

With their incredible sidekicks by their side, they swam, cycled, and ran/walked their way through this all-abilities triathlon โ€“ and did it all to raise vital funds for Skylarks ๐Ÿงก

We are beyond proud of their determination and commitment. What an EPIC achievement! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Our Skylarks families had a fantastic day at Holly Lodge, Richmond Park, as part of our Summer Holiday Programme.

From nature trails and pond dipping to mini-beast hunting and creative crafts, children enjoyed exploring the outdoors in a fun, inclusive environment.

These experiences help children and young people with additional needs build confidence, discover new interests and create lasting memories with their families.

Our Skylarks families enjoyed some wonderful days exploring Hampton Court Palace and Gardens as part of our Summer Holiday Programme.

From discovering new places to enjoying sensory-friendly activities and family time together, these experiences help children with disabilities build confidence, feel included and create happy memories.

Our Skylarks families had a fantastic time exploring the London Museum of Water & Steam in Brentford as part of our Summer Holiday Programme.

The day was filled with curiosity, creativity and plenty of opportunities for children to explore at their own pace. From discovering the fascinating story of Londonโ€™s water supply to enjoying crafts, outdoor play and water activities, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

These inclusive experiences give children and young people with additional needs the chance to try new things, build confidence and make special memories with their families.

A huge thank you to the London Museum of Water & Steam for welcoming our families and helping us create another memorable summer adventure.

This summer, six incredible schools came together to take on our Skylarks Charity Cycle Rides to Paris and Amsterdam, raising an amazing ยฃ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ“,๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ (and counting!) for Skylarks and their school communities. ๐ŸŽ‰

The funds raised for Skylarks will mean more free inclusive play sessions, therapy programmes, and vital services that make a difference in the lives of children with additional needs and disabilities, and their families.

A huge THANK YOU to all the riders, donors, sponsors, schools, volunteers and cheer squads for contributing to the overwhelming success of this summerโ€™s rides. Youโ€™ve shown whatโ€™s possible when communities come together and youโ€™ve made a lasting impact on countless lives.
