🌻Garden Project Donations Needed🌻

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be preparing and developing our garden spaces in both Turriff and Cairnbulg to make them more accessible and enjoyable for the amazing people we support.

We're reaching out to our local community to see if anyone has any spare materials they would be willing to donate.

We are currently looking for:

🪨 Slabs
🪨 Decorative stones/chuckies
🪵 Timber and wood
🏖️ Sand
🌱 Topsoil
🌼 Plants, flowers and shrubs
🪴 Plant pots and planters
🛠️ Any other garden-related materials that could help improve our outdoor spaces

No donation is too small, and every contribution will help create welcoming, accessible areas where our service users can learn new skills, socialise, relax, and enjoy the outdoors.

Wow what a day yesterday!!

We had CWAS reach out to us to see if taking our amazing guys out for a run on their specially adapted bike for a couple of runs round the den.

This was supposed to happen last week but unfortunately it never happened due to the rain, this week however we couldn't stop the guys. They were raring to go and absolutely loved it. The pictures says it all. We will be continueing to do this each week (hopefully weather dependant) as it was a massive hit with our Wednesday lot.

We want to put a massive shout out to Ian from Cycling Without Age Scotland - Turriff who was our dedicated driver for the afternoon. He was incredible making sure everyone remained safe, secure and happy.

Looking for a fun afternoon out with friends, family, and the local community? Why not join us for an afternoon of bingo, prizes, and refreshments!

🌻 Could You Help Someone's World Grow a Little Bigger? 🌻

Together We Grow Support is looking for two caring volunteers to join our amazing team – one in Turriff and one in Cairnbulg.

This is more than just volunteering. It's an opportunity to help adults with additional support needs build confidence, develop new skills, make friendships, and become active members of their community.

As a volunteer, you could be supporting a wide range of activities including community outings, cooking, gardening, crafts, games, life skills sessions, social activities and much more. Every day is different, and every day brings the opportunity to make a genuine difference in someone's life.

One of the most rewarding things we've seen at Together We Grow is individuals who once felt isolated coming together, building friendships, creating WhatsApp groups, and arranging social activities outside of sessions. Watching those connections grow and seeing confidence flourish is something truly special.

We're looking for people who:
✅ Have a caring and positive attitude
✅ Enjoy meeting and supporting others
✅ Are considering a future career in health and social care, or simply want to give something back to their community
✅ Want to be part of a fun, supportive and rewarding environment

What we can offer:
🌻 Valuable hands-on experience
🌻 Training and ongoing support
🌻 References for future employment or education
🌻 Volunteer experience records
🌻 The chance to make a real difference in someone's life

Hours are flexible and we can work around your availability.

A PVG check will be arranged by Together We Grow Support. A driving licence is helpful but not essential.

Last week saw our very first social club. We brought both centres together at Cheers in Fraserburgh. It was a resounding success with both places eager to have a pool tournament and to play some killer darts. We are working with Cheers to make this a monthly outing.

🎉 CAIRNBULG'S FIRST COMMUNITY EVENT – WHAT A SUCCESS! 🎉

Yesterday afternoon saw our very first community event at Together We Grow Cairnbulg... BINGO! 🎱

To say we were overwhelmed would be an understatement. We genuinely thought we might only have a handful of people attend, but as you can see from the photos, the place was absolutely packed!

It was fantastic to see so many people coming together for an afternoon of fun, laughter, and community spirit. The event was such a success that several ladies were already asking us when the next one would be taking place before they had even left! 😊

Thanks to everyone's generosity and support, we also managed to raise an amazing £152 towards our garden project 🌻

A huge well done to our fantastic staff team for all their hard work behind the scenes and, as always, to our incredible service users who helped make the event such a welcoming and enjoyable afternoon for everyone involved.

We are already looking forward to the next one! 💛

🎉🌻 IT'S OUR BIRTHDAY! 🌻🎉

Today marks 1 full year of Together We Grow Support Ltd, and what an incredible journey it has been.

When we first opened our doors, we never imagined that within our first 12 months we would be operating from two locations and supporting so many wonderful individuals across Aberdeenshire. It has certainly been a rollercoaster, with plenty of challenges, successes, laughter, and memories along the way.

We have been fortunate enough to meet and support so many amazing people over the past year, and we genuinely appreciate every single one of them. The friendships, smiles, achievements, and progress we have witnessed have made all the hard work worthwhile.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to all the parents, guardians, support workers, social workers, care managers, and professionals who have placed their trust in us. Choosing support for a loved one is never a small decision, and we are incredibly grateful that so many families have given us the opportunity to be part of their journey. Without your support, Together We Grow simply would not be where it is today.

A special mention must also go to Charlotte, who bravely took on an adrenaline-filled skydive to help raise much-needed funds for our outdoor spaces. Your support, enthusiasm, and willingness to throw yourself out of a plane for us certainly hasn't gone unnoticed! 😄🪂

As we look ahead to Year 2, we are excited about what the future holds. More opportunities, more growth, more friendships, and most importantly, continuing to provide a place where people feel valued, included, and supported.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of the TWGS journey so far. Here's to the next chapter! 💛
