September Friendship month was a busy time with a packed schedule. Here are some photos from the two walks that were held. The first saw twenty-five ramblers complete a 3.6 mile circular walk from the Kentish Horse, Mark Beech, with a well-deserved lunch and refreshments afterwards.
Two weeks later, eleven members headed to Temple, London for a guided tour of the Inns of Court by Ian Bevan followed by lunch and refreshments in the Citte of Yorke pub.

Fireworks and the Law 🎆

We're reminding everyone to enjoy fireworks safely and responsibly and to be aware of the laws around their use this fireworks season.

It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to buy fireworks, and it is an offence for retailers to sell fireworks to anyone under 18.

Fireworks must not be set off between 11pm and 7am, except on certain occasions such as Bonfire Night (5th November), New Year's Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year when later curfews apply.

Fireworks can cause distress to pets, livestock and vulnerable people, so please be considerate of those around you and only use fireworks responsibly and within the law.

If you have concerns that a retailer may be selling fireworks to anyone under 18, please report it to Trading Standards.

🎸 The Lone Poacher stepped in to entertain Oddfellows Beacon Branch at Crowborough Social Club! 🎶

A huge thank you to Andy with his guitar, who kindly stepped in at the last minute to cover for Mark Brundall, who was unfortunately ill. Andy was recommended by Mark himself – and what a recommendation it turned out to be! 👏

Andy had the Oddfellows up on the dance floor in no time, singing along to songs from the 50s and 60s – everything from Elvis and Cliff Richard to The Shadows. A brilliant afternoon of music and memories! 🕺💃

Buffet and drinks were provided, and a lovely time was had by all.

Thanks also to the team at Crowborough Social Club for looking after us so well. 🙏
