What a great evening we had at Unite Youth last Friday! As always, there was plenty of food, fun, and the usual chaos when a group of young people get together! 😄

11 young people joined the Bible study led by Jamie from Christ Church Southborough. Nick then shared the Gospel, along with some powerful testimonies from his work on the streets in the area - stories of people being healed and giving their lives to Jesus.

We were amazed to see 9 young people make a commitment to Jesus! 🙌❤️ We also handed out 15 Bibles. One young person, who had been very anti-Jesus and usually only comes along for the games, said that "Jesus is becoming interesting" and took a Bible home!

We finished the evening with a great time of prayer in small groups.

We're so thankful for all that God is doing and would love your prayers for these young people as they continue their journey of faith. 🙏✨

We were really encouraged this week when a lady knocked on the door at lunchtime simply to thank us for all that the centre does. As we chatted, she shared how grateful she was for a jam roll Hannah had offered her on Tuesday from a batch we had received through our FareShare* Tesco collection.

She explained that she is diabetic, and when she later checked her blood sugar levels, she realised they had been dropping too low at just the time Hannah had offered her the jam roll. That timely boost was enough to stop her levels from falling dangerously low.

What seemed like a small act of kindness turned out to make a significant difference. While the centre exists to serve and support local teenagers, it was a wonderful reminder that God often uses us in ways we don't expect. We came away deeply encouraged, seeing again how He takes the resources He provides and uses them to reach people at exactly the moment they need them. It is a privilege to be part of what He is doing in our community.
