The Tunbridge Wells, Crowborough and District Group has been in existence for over 26 years and we currently have seven cat pens where the cats are fostered until they are re-homed. These pens are located in the gardens of our hard working, volunteer fosterers. We also have three indoor fosterers who foster cats in a spare room in their homes. All our cats for re-homing are vet checked, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Kittens are microchipped and neutered when they are old enough. We run a free Lost & Found register and Facebook posts (01892 516377) to help reunite missing cats with their owners. All cat owners - please microchip your cat for fast notification!

Zoomie was found in the road following a RTA. He was so traumatised and scared that the vet thought the was feral and ear tipped him!
It’s taken him a while to get over his ordeal on the streets and at the vet and is now our longest stay cat.
He’s now ready for a new home.
Now that he’s come out of his shell he is affectionate and looks forward to the company of his foster mum.
He’s a special boy as he has thumbs! The extra toe makes his feet look big but he’s not bothered at all and we think it makes him special.
He’s around two years old and would suit a quiet home with no other pets or children. It may take him a little while to get used to his new surroundings so his new human would need to give him time to settle. He will make a lovely companion.
There’s more information about him on our website and you can apply to adopt him if you think he’s the boy for you.

These two little ones have now been adopted but we’ve others in our care that may be perfect for you.

Cats of the week: Smudge and Sox!

both of these adorable kittens were given to us by a previously loving family, who sadly had to give them up due to the family dog, who despite being of good charecter, was agressive towards them.

A wonderful member of our team is currently fostering these wonderful feline friends, but could you become their forever home?

An update on our latest TNR project with Kayleigh PetPantry Wilks. 6 cats trapped and neutered, 3 cats and 2 kittens yesterday that will be neutered today. It’s still going on with another possible small colony on the site. We think we’re looking at 20+ now so the trapping will continue until we’re sure we’ve stopped the cycle of unwanted cats and kittens. Please get your cats chipped and neutered to avoid these situations that cause a lot of unnecessary suffering.
We’re still collecting unwanted food for the various colonies we support so message 07488 335928 if you have any or you can donate through our website. Thank you to everyone who has donated already.

Stanley’s story part one.

Six year old Stanley was abandoned several years ago. He’s been living outside and a kind lady has been feeding him. She noticed recently that he wasn’t looking well and contacted us for help. He had to trapped as he was still unsure he was being helped but he was taken to the vet. Stanley was chipped! After trying to contact the owner they tried another vet who had an email address as well as phone numbers. Everything was tried to find the owner but it seemed they’d moved away and left him.
He stayed at the vets and his injuries treated as well as being neutered, treated for parasites and vaccinated. He then came to us to foster care to recover.
After years on the streets he was very unhappy with us at first but responding well to Dreamies and Lick e lix and is eating well. He has to have a dental operation as his mouth is in poor condition. Hopefully when he’s in good health again someone will see what a lovely boy he is and adopt him.

We’re currently assisting Kayleigh PetPantry Wilks with a huge neutering project. The majority of these cats aren’t feral but pets that have just been abandoned and fortunately found someone to feed them - but none are neutered.
There have been kittens having kittens and some are in need of veterinary care. Please take a look and follow and share Kayleigh’s page to see how you can help her.
Photos are of Derek before and after neutering.

We don’t always use our traps for feral or stray cats. This naughty girl refused to return after being let out after moving home. The first time her humans were able to grab her but she pushed open a window and escaped again!
We loaned a trap and a few days later she was caught and now safely home relaxing after her adventure.

Rehomed.

This special boy is looking for a new home. This is a direct homing.

Poja is a very friendly and chatty male cat looking for a new home. This beautiful boy loves human company and just can't get enough attention and cuddles. He enjoys lounging indoors as well as exploring the outdoors. He also loves being brushed and running around to catch his Dreamie treats. He is 11 years old and was adopted as a kitten in Myanmar/Burma. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.

Sadly, he is in need of a new family as he has struggled to adjust to the presence of young children in his home. He does not have experience living with other pets and would likely prefer being the only animal in a relatively calm house where he can be the center of attention.

Call 01892 617177 or apply via our website if you think you could offer him the home he deserves.
