The Galley was a hive of excitement tonight with the Royal Marine Cadets making everyone chicken curry to celebrate the Royal Marine Birthday! BZ RMC’s!!! Poor PO Moore, our catering instructor definitely had his hands full! 😅 Great team bonding and loved watching them!

Garden of Remembrance

This year we hope to create a garden of Remembrance on the lawns opposite the Amelia Scott to mark the service and loss of our loved ones. The cross pictured marks the loss of the first person from Tunbridge Wells to be killed in WW1 Private William Vidler Royal Marines Light Infantry on 6th August 1914 when the ship he was in HMS Amphion—a Royal Navy cruiser—when it struck a German-laid mine and sank near the Thames Estuary.
William grew up in Hawkenbury.
If you would like to place a cross with details of a loved one these can be obtained from the Poppy stand in the Royal Victoria Place or from cadets supporting the Poppy Appeal over the next weekends

BUZZING!!!!!!! WHAT A NIGHT!!!!
A huge honour to have the Royal Navy Positive Action Team tonight with Royal Navy PTI, Lance Corporal Alex Quaid & Chief Petty Officer Mel Haslam putting the cadets & staff through their paces!!! Some even managed to achieve the RM standard!! Hoooofing effort and BZ to the cadets!! Even the CO managed 15 press-ups and 20 sit ups before dying.. 😬
Massive thanks again to Captain Sam Kinsey-Briggs for coming down again and joining in!! Hero and legend!! And Lt Jan Dean came to see us!! 🙌🏻

Huge congratulations to CPO Lee Ireland for completing his Intermediate Seamanship Instructor qualification and PO Paul Smith for completing Intermediate Marine Engineering Qualification! Both with recommendation for advanced! Also congratulations to PO Jay Moore for passing his Mental Health First Aid course!! Huge BZ to everyone.. some serious hard work this weekend!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Huge congratulations to PO Lizzie Jones, 1st Lieutenant who successfully passed her Advanced First Aid Instructor qualification today…

This is no mean feat as you need a minimum of a teaching qualification before you can achieve this.. (Fortunately Lizzie is already a teacher, so this helped 😃)

This now means TS Brilliant has 2 Advanced FA Instructors able to deliver First Aid at Work Qualsafe Qualifications..
