Charity support funds new Corpuls chest compression devices.
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells hospitals are benefiting from four new Corpuls devices - leading resuscitation technology which supports consistent, high‑quality CPR, even in challenging scenarios.
The Corpuls is an automated, electro-mechanical chest compression device designed for emergency medical services, air rescue and hospital care.
Costing over £10,000 each, two devices at Maidstone Hospital were funded by the Maidstone Hospital League of Friends. Another two were funded at Tunbridge Wells Hospital by the Tunbridge Wells Hospital League of Friends and MTW Hospitals Charity.
Head of Charity and Fundraising, Claire Ashby said: “Effective CPR more than doubles the chance of someone surviving a cardiac arrest, and the Corpuls device delivers automated chest compressions during resuscitation. It reduces the physical strain on staff and allows teams to focus on other essential treatments, supporting staff and patient care in high-pressure situations.
