📐 An Evening with the Backbones of our Lodges! 📐

Newquay Masonic Hall recently played host to a fantastic, highly informative evening dedicated to the hard-working Secretaries of our Cornish Lodges.

The Provincial Secretariat team; Trevor, Callum, and Simon, led the session, diving deep into the diverse and vital aspects of the Lodge Secretary's role. They provided honest, well-informed answers to a wide range of questions from the floor.

The evening covered crucial topics to keep our Province running smoothly, including:

📜 Bylaws & Governance

💻 The Hermes System

📧 Best practices for communications & emails

📅 The brand-new Lodge Diary(which is soon going live for everyone on the PGL Cornwall website!)

It’s safe to say that everyone walked away with valuable new insights and tools to take back to their respective lodges.

A massive well done and thank you to the 42 lodges that were represented on the night! Your dedication ensures Freemasonry in Cornwall continues to thrive.

📸 A Special Evening for St Enodoc Lodge! 🤝

On Friday 22nd May, the Brethren of St Enodoc Lodge, who meet in Wadebridge, gathered for a memorable and heartwarming Installation meeting.

In a truly special moment of family tradition, Barry Cole was presented into the Chair of King Solomon by his own son! He was expertly installed into the Chair by J W McHarrie during an excellent ceremony.

Following the formalities, the celebrations moved to the Halfway House for a first-class Festive Board. The evening was filled with great food, fantastic company, and plenty of smiles (as you can see from the photo!).

True to the core principles of Freemasonry, charity was at the heart of the evening. The Lodge was delighted to present a cheque to the Head of Craft Masonry in Cornwall's Rezūm Appeal, supporting vital, innovative prostate care and equipment right here at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made it such a wonderful night. We wish the new Master and all the officers of St Enodoc Lodge a fantastic and successful year ahead!

King Arthur’s Great Hall once again provided a stunning backdrop as 47 charities came together to share in £42,000 of donations from Cornish Freemasons.

On Sunday, 17th May, Cornish Freemasons and representatives from their chosen charities gathered at the magnificent hall in Tintagel for the annual Charity Giving Day, a celebration of community support and service that began in 2014.

Guests and charity representatives filled the historic venue and were warmly welcomed by David Maskell, Head of Freemasonry in Cornwall.

Each charitable organisation was introduced by Peter Everest, the Freemasons' Charity Steward in Cornwall, who offered a brief overview of the vital work each group carries out within the community. Donations were then presented by David Maskell, on behalf of the Cornwall Masonic Charitable Foundation (CMCF), or by representatives of individual lodges.
