Charlie Burns was just 10 years old when he tragically passed away. He was part of the local Larkhill military family, and his memory is still a powerful force in our community.

To mark 15 years since we lost him, we are re-walking his final journey—from his home in Larkhill to Salisbury District Hospital. The twist? We’re doing the trek dressed in full, spectacular ballgowns while carrying fundraising buckets!

On Saturday 29th August 2026, our community is coming together for Ballgowns and Buckets—a powerful 20-mile charity walk marking 15 years since 10-year-old Charlie Burns passed away suddenly in Larkhill, just one week after his birthday.

Organised by Charlie’s Star Charity, we are retracing his final journey to Salisbury District Hospital to turn unimaginable grief into a lifeline for others.

Every £500 raised funds a fully covered respite break in Cornwall, giving bereaved families a peaceful space to rest, breathe, and process the loss of a child.

How you can make an impact:Walk Your Way: Register for £10. Walk the full 20 miles or drop in/out at key stops like Amesbury, the Woodfords, or Salisbury Market Place!
