Tomperrow Squirrel Scouts Carrick District

This week Squirrels got creative for their 🥁🥁🥁 Get Creative badge!

They each completed wonderful squirrel collages made from the fallen leaves. Autumn has so many crafting opportunities!

The Squirrels enjoyed story time with Andy! Who doesn’t love Diggory and the Dinosaurs? 🦕 🦖

A big thank you to Smarty and Lily from Helford River Scout Group for running this session for us! We had so much fun 🥰

The Squirrels are back! 🐿️

They had a great night welcoming their new leader Andy - once he had found them! 🤣

This week at Squirrels:

-Skippy demonstrated her amazing scooter skills
-Badger and our Young Leader pretended to be aliens
-The Squirrels had a lovely time rolling balls down the half pipe at their grown ups

We had a lovely time doing the second half of our space badge! We had a wonderful time at the skatepark and are very grateful to the skaters who avoided our Squirrels which kept everyone safe! 🥰🦘🦡

Our Squirrels were very excited to join Playing Place Beavers on a litter pick! 🚯

They all did a brilliant job of making the playground, woods and skatepark a nicer area for others. Definitely embodying the “love our world” part of their promise ⚜️

The Squirrels also checked the various climbing frames for any litter too 😊

This week the Squirrels join Generation Wild at Gyllyngvase Beach!

We had a lovely time having a go at rock pooling. Among our finds were jellyfish, crabs and shrimps!

It’s so lovely to take advantage of the two universities in Carrick District Scouts. So many brilliant opportunities for our Squirrels 🐿️ 🥰

The Squirrels were very busy today!

We got out the pioneering poles to play life sized naughts and crosses! The Squirrels were very tactical ⭕️❌

Afterwards, we split into groups for s’mores and fire lighting, led by our young leader ⚜️

We also enjoyed Badger’s book tent and little free library. We have been very fortunate to receive a grant from BookRelief UK in order to set this up. The Squirrels (and their grown ups) can now borrow books between meetings to improve their scouty skills! 📚

We are very proud that our very own Badger won some awards at the Student Scout and Guide Organisation's AGM

The Oscar Award (creates the most drama) and The Broken Compass Award (most likely to get lost)! 🤣

Badger is getting a few exciting deliveries this week!

Tomperrow Squirrels have been lucky enough to receive a grant from Book Relief UK. Our stock of books to help the children with their Scouting skills will be growing substantially! 📚📖📒
