Active Plus Team Building, Confidence and Motivation, Leadership and Resilience training delivered by Veterans

Established in 2011 by ex-fireman and entrepreneur Tim C***s, Active Plus deliver Team Building, Confidence & Motivation, Resilience and Leadership training. Problem solving activities are used to:

Help young people engage more effectively with each other and their learning setting

Help unemployed people to unlock their potential and get work ready

Encourage older people to build friendships

and become active in their communities

Help businesses through motivational and development training for business leaders and their workforce. Instructors are military veterans, most of whom have physical injuries or experience Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The veterans start their journey with Active Plus as volunteers, building their own confidence, motivation and skills through helping and inspiring others. Some go on to paid full or part-time employment with Active Plus, others go into jobs with other organisations or start their own businesses. For Active Plus, all of these outcomes are positive and demonstrate the effectiveness of our unique delivery model – Veterans Inspiring People.

What an experience it was to attend the Cadets in Enterprise graduation recently!

Terrie-Anne said "I had the absolute pleasure of attending this graduation, and what an inspiring experience it was. It was a true honour to celebrate alongside 11 incredible graduates and their proud families.

I was genuinely blown away by the strength of their business ideas, their vision is bold, their thinking is innovative, and their passion was unmistakable in every conversation. The future they’re building is exciting to witness.

Wishing each of these talented cadets every success as they step forward into what promises to be a bright and impactful future."

We are so close to the infamous Royal Cornwall Show now!

Last year we were privileged to be sharing the Royal Cornwall Show Mental Health Hub with many inspiring organisations, all equally determined and committed to helping people in the local communities. This year will be no different!

Will you be attending the show this year? If so, please come by the Mental Health Hub, stand 740-743 and say hello! We are a friendly bunch and will be happy to tell you all about what we do and, of course, the Active Plus Team will be available to offer information about our current projects that could be of benefit to you or someone you know.

See yourself as a bit of a comedic genius?

The workshop is open to members of the Armed Forces community and offers a supportive, creative space to explore stand-up comedy, storytelling, and performance, no previous experience required. The day will be led by professional comedians and will culminate in an optional comedy night, giving participants the chance to see live comedy in action and, if they wish, take part in an open mic.
