Fancy yourself as the next Adele? More of a Freddie Mercury? Or just fancy murdering a classic after a bit of Dutch courage? 😂

Come along to the Harbour Club this Saturday 22nd for a night of karaoke, questionable vocals and plenty of laughs!

🕗 Starts at 8pm

Whether you're brave enough to grab the mic or just coming along to cheer everyone on, it should be a great night!

❤️ A LITTLE SHOUT-OUT TO OUR LOVELY COMMUNITY…

We've got a young man locally who's starting again, and he could really do with a helping hand getting some of the everyday things together that turn four walls into a home.

Before we start looking at buying things, we thought we'd ask here first – because you never know what's sitting unused in someone's spare room, garage or shed!

We're on the hunt for:

🧊 Fridge freezer
🛏️ Double bed base
🧺 Washing machine
🍳 Electric cooker
🍲 Microwave
📺 TV

Nothing needs to be new or fancy – used, loved and still working is perfect! We're looking for anything that could be donated or sold cheaply.

Maybe you've recently upgraded your washing machine? Have a spare TV gathering dust? Or know someone who's having a clear-out?

Please give us a message. 💚

And even if your cupboards and garages are as empty as ours, give this a share – you never know who might spot it.

🏡❤️ CAN OUR COMMUNITY HELP A LOCAL FAMILY? ❤️🏡

We’ve been contacted by a lovely local family who are moving into their first home and are starting out with very little.

We’d love to help them make their new house feel like a home, and we’re hoping our wonderful community might be able to help with a few things they still need:

🧺 Portable / caravan-style washing machine – ideally a small or twin-tub machine
🗄️ Chest of drawers
👕 Clothes airer / drying rack
🧵 Washing line or suitable rope
🧦 Clothes pegs

Second-hand is absolutely fine, things don’t need to be perfect or brand new, just clean, usable and in working order where applicable.

If you have any of these tucked away, gathering dust in the garage, or perhaps something you’ve been meaning to replace or pass on, please send the Gerrans & Portscatho Community Larder a message. We can also try to help arrange collection for larger items where possible.

Sometimes the things we no longer need can make an enormous difference to somebody else. ❤️

We’re currently running low on a number of everyday essentials, and your donations help us continue supporting local people and families who may be having a difficult time.

If you’re doing your shopping this week, could you add just one extra item to your basket? Even one tin, packet or bottle really does make a difference.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our karaoke night last Saturday!
What a fantastic evening it was.

Thanks to your generosity, we raised an amazing £101 for the Gerrans & Portscatho Community Larder.
Every penny helps us continue supporting local people, and we couldn't do it without you.
We're open tomorrow from 12:00pm, so do pop in and say hello. As always, we're incredibly grateful for any donations of food, toiletries or household essentials if you're able to spare them.
