And lastly we have FS Wood - who is the adjutant for 730, but also the Interim Wing First Aid Officer. With a varied career, she has been at 4 different squadrons over 2 regions - been involved in camps, shooting, drill and of course first aid!

This wraps up Volunteers Day for National Cadet Week - we truly wouldn’t be able to provide any of the activities for the cadets without the tireless support of the staff and civilian committees.

Over 20 and want to watch young adults develop whilst getting to grow your own experience? Come join us!

Next is our very own CI Johns - Tim comes with a wealth of knowledge of the organisation, has seen it evolve over time and continues to be a cornerstone not just to the wing, but to the wider organisation at a whole.

Its National Cadets Week - and we are celebrating our volunteers.

Kicking off the staff interviews is our OiC WO Gates to explain his experiences within the organisation.

👋🏻 A Fond Farewell to FS Wood!👋🏻

We have a lot to catch you up on over the summer period - but tonight was our first night back, and what was a hello to some new cadets, was also a goodbye to FS Wood!

He joined us back in June 2022, completing many activities that the RAFAC can offer - from camps, shooting, first aid, NCO courses and so many more!

FS has helped shape the younger generations of cadets whilst being a stand up role model to them, and from the staff we cannot thank you enough for all your support and dedication - but now who will be FS Wood’s scribe???!!!!

Good luck at university - and we hope you don’t become a stranger.

🎄 That’s a wrap on Recruitmas! 🎄

Over the last 12 days, we’ve shared just a snapshot of what the RAF Air Cadets have to offer — from flying and adventurous training to first aid, leadership, music, camps and so much more.

What we haven’t shown is everything that happens in between:
the confidence built, the friendships made, the skills learned, and the opportunities that shape young people for the future.

If you’re aged 12 (Year 8) and under 16 and looking for something new in the New Year, there’s never been a better time to join.
