⚠️ STORM CHANDRA WEATHER UPDATE ⚠️
Powered by Trees and Bees Cornwall Ltd
Comments are now turned off.
Thank you.
We’ve just had confirmation that Storm CHANDRA has now been officially named by the Met Office, and it’s set to bring a spell of disruptive weather to parts of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly on Tuesday.
So what does that mean for us?
Strong winds are expected to develop, particularly around exposed coasts, hills, and headlands
Heavy rain will move through at times, adding to already wet ground conditions in places
With saturated ground, there is an increased risk of localised flooding, surface water issues, and impacts on travel
Strong gusts combined with soft ground could also lead to issues with weakened trees, including fallen branches in some areas
At the moment, the exact impacts will vary by location, but confidence is increasing that Tuesday will be an unsettled and potentially disruptive day for parts of the region.
Important:
Please stand by additional weather warnings are likely to be issued, and we’ll bring those to you as soon as they are confirmed, with clear, easy-to-understand guidance on what to expect and when.
As always here at KWT: No hype No panic
Just honest, up-to-date local weather information
We’ll be keeping a very close eye on Storm Chandra and will post further updates as the picture sharpens.
Kind regards,
KWT Dave
