Carlyon Lodge Ten Pin Bowling Charity Social Event.
Terrific fun filled afternoon on Sunday in aid of the WM’s charity fund. Thank you to everyone who attended our charity event yesterday. And those who didn’t but still contributed to the charity fund. Special thanks to Simon Jones for organising the event and to Barbara Moore and Felicity Jones for running the raffle. Not forgetting of course our little helpers Eva and Percy who called the raffle numbers. Very efficiently I might say! A remarkable £230 was raised on the day. 😊

Today is International Men's Day, and the theme this year is 'Supporting Men and Boys', which encourages an honest look at the challenges that men face. This is a vital topic for us, as it directly affects our community of Freemasons.

On this Remembrance Day, we honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served and continue to serve. Let us never forget the heroes who have defended our freedom and the peace we enjoy today.

Some 3,533 Freemasons were killed during the First World War, and Freemasons’ Hall (originally the Masonic Peace Memorial) was built in 1933 as a memorial to the fallen - United Grand Lodge of England

This is a great example of how the MCF works. Its first course of action is to look at state benefits before resorting to MCF grants. There are a lot of people out there who don’t know what benefits, if any, they are entitled to. Our AST’s and MCF advisors can assist in this area.
