Cubs and scouts have been having a blast the last two weeks!
At calendra farm we measured water quality, built shelters, made fires and gorged on smores!
This week we went to Philleigh Way Woods and discovered a bit about how trees are maintained as saplings. They were also super pleased to find moths, butterflies, things that moved to fast through the grass 🤷‍♂️🐁🐍??? And ants nests in the tree protectors as well as a dragon fly!!! Awesome evenings made possible by our lovely volunteers including dofe helpers! Thank you!

40 years of Beaver Scouts - a good excuse for a party, complete with bunting, cheese and pineapple on a stick, cakes, and, last but not least, the washing-up bowl relay race!

In a proper community effort the Beaver Scouts built a 'Creepy Crawly Castle' yesterday. Yes, they did use power tools and a pyrograph - and we all survived.
Thanks to Blair, Iain, Mike, Linda who donated wood and other materials, time, expertise.
The castle will be installed in the Memorial Garden soon. And entered for the REACT Richard Cochrane Award for Environmental Action. Fingers crossed!
