Women's experiences of homelessness is often hidden from sight, and from the official statistics.
We are proud to work in collaboration with national organisations to ensure that women are not overlooked in national rough sleeping counts, to deliver and create support that is suitable for everyone who may need us π

Today we're publishing the Women's Rough Sleeping Census 2025 Report: πππ¨π¨ππ£π ππ€π’ππ£ - a partnership between Single Homeless Project and Solace Women's Aid, alongside Crisis and Change Grow Live.
For the fourth year running, the census found women sleeping rough are still being missed because official systems are still looking for homelessness in the wrong places. π
π The Census found up to ππ¬ ππΆπΊπ²π πΊπΌπΏπ² ππΌπΊπ²π» ππΉπ²π²π½πΆπ»π΄ πΏπΌππ΄π΅ than official counts.
ππ²π±% πΌπ³ ππΌπΊπ²π» πππΏππ²ππ²π± had survived in places π²π
π°πΉππ±π²π± from official counts.
β οΈ In six local authority areas, official counts πΏπ²π°πΌπΏπ±π²π± ππ²πΏπΌ ππΌπΊπ²π» ππΉπ²π²π½πΆπ»π΄ πΏπΌππ΄π΅, while the census identified 162.
But this report is not just a warning. It shows there is a better way to count, understand and respond to women's homelessness. π¨
Now is the time and we'll be calling on the Government to make womenβs homelessness visible and prevent more women falling through the cracks. π«₯
