St Petrocs Working to end homelessness in Cornwall, because everyone has the right to a safe and secure home. St Petrocs social media channels are reactively moderated.

Our mission is to provide accommodation, support, advice, training and resettlement services to people experiencing homelessness in Cornwall. Within resources available, we strive to provide the best quality of services possible. Our primary aim is to provide these services to people aged 16 - 65 for whom no provision is made within the community, either statutory or otherwise. The business opening hours on this page are reflective of the times that someone is available to answer inbox queries, and is not reflective of our operational services opening hours to work with clients. Please visit our website for up to date opening times for our services. We cannot accept responsibility for the content of any of the comments. We strive to create a safe and positive space where healthy debate and engagement can happen. We will not allow abusive or threatening speech or writing that expresses prejudice against a particular group – this is wrong, harmful and deeply upsetting to all involved. Today’s the day! Good luck to everyone taking part in the Eden Half Marathon!
We are so grateful to everyone running in support of St Petrocs and helping raise vital funds for our work to end homelessness in Cornwall.
Every mile and every pound raised helps make a difference for people experiencing homelessness and we can’t thank you enough for being part of this challenge.
A special mention to our colleagues Sophie and Paul, who are also taking on the half marathon and have smashed their fundraising targets! We are so grateful for all their efforts and can’t wait to hear how they get on today.
To everyone running today, we hope you have a brilliant time and enjoy the experience. You should be so proud of what you are doing and the difference you are making. Thank you for being part of Team St Petrocs!

Good luck, Checkmyfile!
We are delighted to see our Business Club members, Checkmyfile getting ready for the Eden Half Marathon!
Looking great in their St Petrocs running T-shirts, the runners are all set to take on the challenge and we are so grateful to them for supporting St Petrocs.
They have already raised almost ÂŁ3,000 to help people experiencing homelessness in Cornwall and are so close to reaching their fundraising target!

We had a really uplifting conversation with one of our ex-residents, Will, who has recently moved out into his own rental property, after spending some time in a St Petrocs house. He shared:

“St Petrocs has made a huge difference to my life. I was not mentally in a very good place when I first experienced homelessness, which is why I ended up in that situation.

St Petrocs has completely changed not just my housing situation... but my mental health as well.”💛

We are proud to be able to continue supporting Will to improve his mental health and as he transitions into independent living.

40 years of St Petrocs. Thousands of people supported. So many journeys.

This World Homeless Day, we are thinking about the people we have supported since we began in 1986 and wondering how you are getting on today.

For 40 years, so many people have been part of the St Petrocs journey. As we mark this milestone, we would love to reconnect with the people we have supported and hear from you.

You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. You might want to tell us about your experience, the support you received, what helped you move forward, or about your home. There is no pressure to share anything you do not want to and you can choose to remain anonymous.

With your permission, we may share what you tell us through our social media, website, publications or other communications as part of our 40th anniversary. We will always check with you first about how, or if, you would like your experience to be shared.

Even if you do not want your experience to be shared publicly, we would still be really glad to hear from you.

If you choose to share, your experience could offer hope to someone facing homelessness and help challenge some of the perceptions and stigma around homelessness.

A huge thank you to the amazing team from St Austell Brewery!

We recently welcomed a brilliant team of volunteers from St Austell Brewery to our Resource Centre in Truro, where they worked alongside our frontline staff to help create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone accessing our support.

From making sandwiches and chatting with our clients, to sorting donations and building furniture, the team got stuck in across the organisation and made a real difference.

Shining a light on women’s experiences of homelessness 🤝

This week, we’re proud to be coordinating Cornwall’s involvement in the national women’s census. Each year, the Rough Sleeper Count estimates how many people are experiencing homelessness across the UK, but crucially misses out people who find themselves sofa surfing, sleeping in vehicles or hiding from sight.

The Women’s Census enables us to connect with local services and count the number of women reaching out for support in our services, counting people who are receiving support and who would otherwise be missed in national data.
