Did you know that many housing options don’t allow pets?🐢

No one expects to be forced out of their home. The lack of accommodation open to people with pets creates a barrier for people who suddenly find themselves without a home. Choosing between a loved pet and a safe place to stay can lead to stress, isolation and people delaying seeking support altogether πŸ’”

At St Petrocs, we are proud to provide pet-friendly services, to ensure that no one has to make the decision between their loved companion and a safe place to live. Read more and explore the experiences of our residents here πŸ‘‡

Women's experiences of homelessness is often hidden from sight, and from the official statistics.

We are proud to work in collaboration with national organisations to ensure that women are not overlooked in national rough sleeping counts, to deliver and create support that is suitable for everyone who may need us πŸ’›

Women are not absent from our streets. They are absent from the data. πŸ‘€

Today we're publishing the Women's Rough Sleeping Census 2025 Report: π™ˆπ™žπ™¨π™¨π™žπ™£π™œ π™’π™€π™’π™šπ™£ - a partnership between Single Homeless Project and Solace Women's Aid, alongside Crisis and Change Grow Live.

For the fourth year running, the census found women sleeping rough are still being missed because official systems are still looking for homelessness in the wrong places. πŸ”

πŸ“Š The Census found up to 𝟭𝟬 π˜π—Άπ—Ίπ—²π˜€ 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 π˜„π—Όπ—Ίπ—²π—» π˜€π—Ήπ—²π—²π—½π—Άπ—»π—΄ π—Ώπ—Όπ˜‚π—΄π—΅ than official counts.
πŸ“πŸ²πŸ±% 𝗼𝗳 π˜„π—Όπ—Ίπ—²π—» π˜€π˜‚π—Ώπ˜ƒπ—²π˜†π—²π—± had survived in places π—²π˜…π—°π—Ήπ˜‚π—±π—²π—± from official counts.
⚠️ In six local authority areas, official counts 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱 π˜‡π—²π—Ώπ—Ό π˜„π—Όπ—Ίπ—²π—» π˜€π—Ήπ—²π—²π—½π—Άπ—»π—΄ π—Ώπ—Όπ˜‚π—΄π—΅, while the census identified 162.

But this report is not just a warning. It shows there is a better way to count, understand and respond to women's homelessness. 🚨

Now is the time and we'll be calling on the Government to make women’s homelessness visible and prevent more women falling through the cracks. πŸ«₯

Today we were proud to take part in a visit from His Royal Highness The Duke of Cornwall to Nansledan showing him the progress on the new supported homes for people experiencing homelessness in Cornwall.

By combining safe, secure accommodation with personalised support, this project will help people rebuild their lives with dignity and independence.

This is a reminder of what’s possible when organisations work together to tackle homelessness.
