“Who Are Levow Kesson?”

Levow Kesson are far more than a choir — they are a community of singers who believe in the power of shared voices to lift spirits and bring people together.

Formed in 2015 and based in St Neot, they draw members from across South East Cornwall, performing everything from Chilcott and Lauridsen to African folksongs, Billy Joel, and Cornish repertoire.

Under the musical direction of Heather Taylor, they’ve raised thousands for local charities and become known for their warm, vibrant sound and commitment to community.

At Natural Beauty & The Beast, they will perform two special sessions — including a brand new composition inspired by Bodmin Moor’s landscape, legends, and dialect. A rare chance to hear new Cornish rooted choral work in a historic setting.

The Natural Beauty & The Beast event is a whole afternoon of walks, poetry, song, music, Cornish piping and storytelling. Full details: https://kernowgoth.org/event/gool-goon-brenn-fowey-moor-festival

“Discover the Story Behind Altarnun & Bodmin Moor”
Step into one of Cornwall’s most remarkable historic landscapes this June. St Nonna’s Church, Altarnun—often called the Cathedral of the Moor—has watched over centuries of stories, songs, and traditions shaped by Bodmin Moor’s rugged beauty.
On Saturday 13th June, we’re celebrating that heritage with Natural Beauty & The Beast, a full day of walks, workshops, music, poetry, and storytelling. From Peter Allen’s guided village walk to new compositions inspired by the Moor, the day explores how landscape shapes culture, creativity, and community.
It’s a chance to learn, listen, and reconnect with the living heritage of this extraordinary place.
