📢This Week’s VR Events

All members of the Armed Forces Community are welcome at our Armed Forces hubs – whether you’re a veteran, serving member, reservist or family member.

Come along for support, information, or simply a brew (wet) and some camaraderie. Our hubs are supported by more than 30 military charities, CICs and organisations across Cornwall, bringing a wide range of advice and support together in one place.

The fantastic organisations supporting this week's hubs include: Department for Work and Pensions - DWP, Help For Heroes, The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, South West Water and National Energy Action.

It’s been another busy week at Veterans Regroup!

Over the last week, we have delivered two Armed Forces Hubs in Penryn and Helston, and watersports and beekeeping events for veterans.

🐝 We had a great day learning about bees and beekeeping at Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose yesterday, with lots of interesting conversations. We've received several emails this morning from veterans saying how much they enjoyed every minute of this event.

🌊 Another brilliant session on the water at Trevassack Lake, with veterans getting involved in watersports in a fantastic setting.

☕ Armed Forces Hubs – Penryn & Helston
Thank you to everyone who dropped into our Penryn and Helston hubs, and to our fantastic volunteers and organisations who work with us to provide advice, support, guidance and advocacy.

🔹 Redruth Armed Forces Hub - Wednesday 26th August (10:00-12:00) at Redruth Library
🔹 Liskeard Armed Forces Hub - Friday 28th August (09:30-11:30) at Liskeard Town Council
🔹 Watersports at Trevassack Lake - Sunday 30th August (11:00-13:30). There are a couple of spaces available! Email [email protected] to book a space.

📢 NEW TORPOINT ARMED FORCES HUB - LAUNCHING TUESDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER!

We are delighted to be working in partnership with Torpoint Town Council and Team Raleigh CIC to launch a new Armed Forces Hub in Torpoint.

Whether you need support with housing, employment, health, finances or dental care, or simply fancy a brew (wet) and a chat with people who understand military life, we're here for you.

📅 Launching: Tuesday 8th September
⏰ 10:00-12:00
📍 Torpoint Library and Information Service, Fore Street, Torpoint, PL11 2AG

Following the launch, the hub will run on the second Tuesday of every month, 10:00-12:00.

No appointment is needed – just drop in.

A huge thank you to Ben Maguire MP and Cornwall Cllr. Damon Dennis for taking the time to visit and support our Launceston Armed Forces Hub yesterday.

It was a great opportunity to share more about the support we provide to veterans and the wider Armed Forces Community across Cornwall, as well as our exciting plans for a new Truro VALOUR Hub.

A big thank you also to our fantastic hub team, Yorick and Tina, our dedicated volunteers, and the following organisations who joined us and supported yesterday’s hub:

Launceston Royal British Legion, Department for Work and Pensions - DWP, Ara Recovery For All, Help For Heroes, Active Plus and National Energy Action.

Our eight multi-agency Armed Forces Hubs across the County are all about bringing organisations together in one welcoming and accessible place, helping us deliver our No Wrong Door approach and ensuring members of the Armed Forces community can access the right support at the right time.
