Volunteers' Week 2026 🌟
This week is Volunteers' Week, a national celebration recognising the incredible contribution volunteers make in the community.
At Pound Meadow junior parkrun, we're fortunate to have an amazing team of volunteers who give up their time on Sunday mornings to help our event take place.
As we reach our 20th event this Sunday, we're proud to say we've had a full volunteer roster every week! 🎉 That's been made possible by 84 different individuals who have given their time to support our junior parkrunners.
Their dedication has helped 432 different children take part, with a fantastic 1,276 finishes recorded so far.
From marshalling and timekeeping to barcode scanning and cheering on our runners, every volunteer plays a vital role.
To all of our volunteers, thank you. Pound Meadow junior parkrun simply wouldn't happen without you. 💙👏
