This year, Derek and his family will be taking part in the Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge for the sixth time, raising money in memory of his beloved wife, Janet, who was cared for by our Hospice at Home team. Since Janet passed away in 2020, they have raised over £22,000 through a tribute page and by taking part in numerous events.

Derek shares: “We wanted to raise funds for the hospice to show our gratitude for all the care and support Janet received at home free of charge.

"The family liked the idea of taking part in a challenge that would bring everyone together in her memory and we chose the Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge. It was a fun day out, if a little exhausting, but people made generous donations via the tribute page."
