I’m sorry to report that little Brucie died today whilst I was at work. 😢 He hadn’t really eaten for a week unfortunately despite much perseverance, patience and encouragement. I think perhaps the fact that he should be in hibernation didn’t help him and he was severely underweight.
Sorry little guy, I did my best 😢
Thankyou for all your support and interest and help x

When you’re a Bat Rehabilitator and also a Reiki Healer 🤷‍♀️🙌
Daily wing stretch whilst having some reiki.
Some little gentle Cho Ku Rei symbols in there too for extra intention and focus 🙏🏼

Needing the patience of a saint with this little guy! He’s not got much of an appetite so I’m having to decapitate mealworms (sorry mealworms!🙈) to try and entice him to eat.

We have ascertained that Brucie has a fractured upper arm, but with time and rest this should heal itself.
Thanks to the lovely staff at Smith, Ryder-Davies & Partners in for letting me come and use your small scales to weigh him as I no longer have my Bat scales. Poor little guy is underweight (he’s 4grams) even despite the fact he should be hibernating… But he’s gained some more fans! 🙌🦇🥰

This morning he has had a good drink but didn’t want any food. I’ve had another good look at his wing and it doesn’t appear to be broken as far as I can see, however breaks can present well at first and then worsen. 🙏🏼🦇

Feeding compilation.
He’s a hungry little thing! 🥰🦇

I had a call from a vets in Debenham today; a lady had found this bat upside down by her front door…! He should still be in hibernation! She kindly brought him to me for assessment and rehabilitation.
He appears to have a wound on his left shoulder, so possibly been got by a cat, but I’m baffled as to why he was out of hibernation so early! Hopefully it’s not a break, keep everything crossed for us! 🙏🏼 🦇
This page only lets me upload one video at a time for some silly reason so see next video for his feeding compilation 🥰
