💛🩷 Awareness of endometriosis and adenomyosis. 💛🩷

Endometriosis and adenomyosis awareness matters because these conditions can affect nearly every part of a woman’s life, not just her period or pelvis.

They can mean ongoing pain, bleeding, bloating, fatigue, bowel or bladder problems, pain with s*x, missed work, poor sleep, anxiety, low mood, and feeling like your body is no longer reliable.

Too many women are still dismissed, diagnosed late, or made to feel dramatic for symptoms that are serious and disruptive.

More awareness means women are taken seriously sooner.

It means fewer women blaming themselves for being exhausted, overwhelmed, or emotionally worn down by daily pain. It also reminds them that the mental struggle is not separate from the physical one.

When your body hurts for months or years, it affects your confidence, relationships, work, and sense of safety.

That is why awareness matters. It helps turn silence, doubt, and delay into validation, support, and better care.

💛***PLEASE SHARE***💛

⏰ Please don’t forget to come along, 6pm next Tuesday 🙂

If you are sat there thinking…
“I will look like a n*b if I go there”
“I feel like an idiot”
“This is cringe”
“I feel like I would enjoy this, but am too anxious to go”
“What if no one else goes?”

✅ Trust me - I am thinking it too !! 🙈

🎗️All I ask is that we try and take that first step towards change, and creating our own VILLAGE of support!! 🎗️

📱📱I am setting up a WhatsApp community chat, so if you would like to be added to that - I thought it would be nice to break the ice prior to next week - then please pop me a message with your details 📱📱

As Endometriosis awareness month draws to a close and today is ‘World Endometriosis Day’

I just wanted to share a little of my own journey in the hope it may sway any of you into feeling less intimidated to come along to our first meet 14th April 💛

- I was diagnosed at 26, after being backwards and forwards to many GPs and Gynaecologists from the age of 16.

- I had my first laparoscopy which confirmed my diagnosis in 2019. My second in December 2022 and third in September 2024.

- Following that surgery in ‘24 I was sent for an MRI as my insides were described as a ‘stuck together mess’.

- The MRI confirmed Stage 4 endo that had stuck my uterus, cervix and bowel together, I was told I would need a hysterectomy and was placed into a medically induced menopause whilst I waited for that surgery.

- In September 2025, I underwent a total laparoscopic hysterectomy, with ovarian conservation at the age of 32.

- I am almost 7 months post op now, navigating a new world of HRT and finding out who I am as a person once more. I’m not pain free every day, but I am pain free most days, and my symptoms are at an all time low.

- I feel like I have lost years to this disease and at times felt very unheard, unsupported and made to feel like I was cracking up!

I really would like to help change that, for other women in the chokehold of this disease.

Please don’t forget, 14th April - 6pm - Rose Cottage Community Hub xx 💛

✨✨Please Share✨✨

If you or someone you know has Endometriosis or other chronic conditions associated with women’s health.

I’d really like it if you could share this post and this group, and spread the word for what I’m hoping to achieve here.

I want to create an environment in which women can come for a laugh, cry, giggle (whatever takes your fancy) in a judgement free zone.

Women’s health isn’t taken seriously. Support for women is lacking - so let’s change that! 💛

18/03/2026

No formalities, no sitting there with name labels and doing ice breakers.

Just real women with real stories and real lives 💛
